“A consensus was reached. We didn’t go up. The process worked.”

What does that even mean?

Someone should duct tape his mouth shut. For his own protection.

It’s amazing how often we catch Republicans saying something to one audience, then saying the opposite to another audience. They know the media is asleep at the wheel, so they can get by with throwing some red meat to their base, while disavowing it in other circles.

You don’t think Democrats do this too? Seriously?

Wow.

No, we don’t want to insult a guest, but studying Stephen Colbert’s style between now and the time Ridge arrives might prove useful. Colbert’s method of rearranging someone’s rib cage without them feeling the relentless pokes to the ribs has proven to be quite an outstanding way of bringing out the truth. Speaking of Colbert, I doubt that it was Ridge himself who agreed to appear at FDL. His decision to do so kind of brings to mind Colbert’s booking at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.

I think the questions will be difficult for him to answer. By the time he left the position, he looked like a buffoon because of the things the Bushies made him say and do.
