Ah, another Sorkin aficionado…
If I had to pick one episode, it would be “17 People,” although the final six episodes of season 2 are a monument to Sorkin’s ability to manipulate his audience. That first conversation between the First Lady and the White House counsel from “Bad Moon Rising”- dialog nirvana.
“Mrs. Bartlet, I’m not sure you have an appropriate appreciation of the size of what happens next.“

But “Noel” is stand-alone television.

Now THAT is sure! I think Rob Lowe did sign a pact with the thug devil, though.

Right now I have 40 West Wings tivo-ed. But my favorite is “Noel” with Adam Arkin counseling Josh after getting shot. THAT was spectacular television writing. I’m a Sorkin freak anyway.

That wasn’t me. Sometimes the teevee Gawds leave unexpected gifts.
Point is, she made her own luck. She drew down on that cretin when it did the most good for the argument, and the studio ‘felt’ it coming and did their jobs. She has incredible timing.

and the political capital remark - that should be a t-shirt. what a beautiful close to the appearance.

Part 2 also looks great. Nice dissolves! Notice neither Armey or Coburn wanted to go head-to-head with her? A definite reverence had evolved. LOL.

I forgot how Rachel virtually burst out laughing at Armey, but just managed to contain herself while saying, “Well, that’s because it has nothing to do with health care.
