Dick Armey’s “grassroots organization”?

Dick Armey is a former Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives. You can say anything you want about health-insurance reform, the people who support it and the people who oppose it, but to call anything Dick Armey is involved with “grassroots” is just butt-stupid.

Is there no GOP self-characterization that Politico won’t retype exactly?

OT, but I had to ask: there are persistent rumors that Lou Dobbs has just been fired. Anyone heard anything at all???.. I can’t find anything, except for the Hartford Courant, which said earlier today that Joe Klein fired him.. but now I can’t find the article.

Yeah, CNN kinda lost me in the first Gulf War when they continuously characterized the folks protesting that war as “protesting the war” while calling those protesting oppositely as “supporting the troops.” Bullshit. If one is protesting the way, then the other is supporting the war. I kinda thought both sides “support” the troops, but they continuously, non-stop, gave that slanted viewpoint in describing the opposing sides.

Since I’ve watched the Situation Room a few times, caught Dobbs a couple of times, and now never turn it on. But I’m really wondering, WTF happened with Dobbs??? I could’ve sworn he always insisted he was an independent, yet he sounds to me like he no longer pretends that and instead proudly proclaims wingnut talking points. Has he publicly given up the “independent” mantra???

I also read at Air America today that Ron Reagan was on American Morning and they asked him to come back that night for 360; he did and Klein announced afterward that some radio talk show hosts would not be on CNN any more. Did he fall or was he pushed? I say he was pushed. A law firm doesn’t want this kind of taint on their name. Of course, the question arises, why did they hire him in the first place?

Judy Woodruff handled him quite well. He thought he was on Fox then the Tough questions came. Quite entertaining. Dick Armey has always been a shill..In it for the Buck.
