After all the shouting on TV, we were nice, polite old ladies for the young whippersnapper at the office, but we weren’t shy about expressing ourselves either. We had a . . . Couldn’t stand it at first and it’s still not at the top of my list. My radio station has a Native American music show on Sunday nights. They started playing some NA hip hop. Very political and got me to pay attention to other stuff I heard. With rock n’ roll they called it the beat, with hip hop it’s the rhythm, to me anyhow.
