I will be going to a Heath Care Forum in Milwaukee today held by Congresswoman Gwen Moore. The local paper finally has put the event on their web site. The meeting will be in two parts. The first part will be a presentation by a University of Wisconsin-Madison professor who will summarize the major parts of the legislation. Then Rep. Moore will answer question that were sent to her by email. So, I have to say I like the “controls” of the meeting and I have to credit her with making certain the meeting will be “informative”. Wisconsin has a very active right wing gun enthusiast contingent. I hope that nothing seriously bad happens at this event today.

I think Edmonds problem is that she can’t find a publisher. U.S. gov can do some pretty nasty stuff to a publisher.

I have thought about the drones. They could very easily be pointed inland if the opportunity presented itself. They would eliminate the need to wait for the target to take off in a private plane.

OMG, there’s some military person on democracynow who sez U.S. military strategy in Afghanistan is to assess what the polticial problems are at the local level (such as land reform) and solve them. Geez. Do these guys really listen to what they are saying? Simply amazing.

Maybe Sibel Edmonds should try publishing her book in western Europe. They still have freedom of the press there.

It is not outside the realm of probability that Afghanistan is a test firing range for perfecting the delivery of drones, for when they are needed to tame a real insurrection.

I’m not absolutely certain, but I could nevertheless swear the Honorable Rep Isakson could’a misremembered some material from Al/Geoff/Waylon.
