ZED!
And here I was about to turn in for the night and what do I find? An empty comment section!
Yay, Me!
Guess everyone’s still downstairs analyzing the Elephant Dung…
Hi, ES!
FunnyWheelieDiva
Hi, Gnome
And whaddaya mean, empty. What am I? Chopped Lumber?
checking in
hey ES
girlie on guitar. nice
Well, it was empty when I started typing.
Howdy Ho Pups!
But but it does make good fertilizer *g*
I am going to be a party pooper. I am zonked. I will check in tomorrow.
And whaddaya mean, empty. What am I? Chopped
LumberLiver?Come on FunnyWD get it right!! Oh and kudos on the ZED!
Good evening, dawgs…)
Hey ES, FunnyDiva, Gnome and everyone;)
Well, here in Seattle we have a special, coveted blend called Zoo Doo…
FWDiva
Alright!! But WTF is it??
I know what it really is!
Young (goyische) friends of mine came up with “chopped lumber”, and it was such a great eggcorn that my little “posse” has adopted it. I totally love it.
FWDiva
It’s my language, and I’ll tweak it if I want to!
I may start screaming at the two republican congressman….. on Bill Maher….
http://www.zoo.org/zoo_info/zoodoo.html
Issa and Kingston? What makes me mad is Maher is not prepared to combat their BS. They laid the policy-chatter on thick and he could not combat them.
Taibbi would have been a great third wheel with those two twerps.
Hey ES! Is your connection still poopy?
Otay already! *g*
Ooooh, sweetie, didn’t you just do chemo? Turn offa TV-machine, grrrl friend! Pick yer battles and conserve energy for fightin’ that big, bad C!
(((((Katy)))))
Ya know I’m not scoldin’, right? Just nudging in a good-humored way.
Don’t want any of us getting like that tearful woman KO had the clip of last night. The one who really really needs some professional psychiatric help.
FWDiva
Hi Sunny, yes unfortunately. 5 to 14 minutes to reload this page tonight. *sigh*
Geezuzz…I’ll have to wait for a youtube. Issa punked him???
Hey, being in Seattle you have the same Blue Dog we do, the Honorable Rick Larsen.
My SO and I have a date tomorrow. Rick’s Healthcare Town Hall and then out for a late lunch if we don’t get arrested!! Actually, I’m going to observe. Been to several intimate community talks with Mr.Larsen. He’s a smooth dude with no substance. Mr. FeelGood. No point in engaging him. Though his office [local] did send me an email today about the Town Hall tomorrow. I can’t figure out how they got thru with my spam blocker.
No. But he and Kingston dove pretty deep into the phony weeds of a bunch of issues, and the less-than-wonky would have problems refuting. Its teh Goopers favorite defense mechanism – go where your rhetorical opponent cannot possibly have been, and dare them to refute.
Ah yes, patience is a virtue, Grasshopper.
I quit watching Maher when he and Naomi Klein agreed… prosecuting for torture would be a bad thing for the new admin to press for.
But I was about to cancel HBO anyway.
I have felt better since my chemo and the IV Zometta last week. Tons of energy but I have to be careful with walking and pivoting. Working on the tons of paper work to file and make sense……
BTW I am now a beneficiary of social security disability insurance….No Medicare in sight…. tick tick….. have to wait 18 months unless someone gets their shit together and give me public option
Boy, am I glad I missed that episode. How disappointing to have watched that display.
Evening
Lawyer up next week to fight our County’s effort to foist the most expensive sewer in the USA per capita upon our little town.
How’s everyone tonight?
Gods, that’s as bad as my mom. She’s trying ot get disability since she’s got RA in her feet, and osteoperosis to top it off. Of course, since Dad died in may, she was cut off from his insurance from the first of june onwards. I have a feeling if the ladies in HR at the company could have kept her on, they would have. But the plan was BCBS and therefor is one of THE most bitchy MedInsurance companies of them all. Doesn’t matter that dad worked well over 30 years with the mill, and now mom’s struggling to get by and so is my younger brother. I’m treading water, but i can’t do much of anything to help them.
Question. Do any of you know how to get a mistaken identity court levy off of your back? It’s for a loan i never signed for, from a company i never got a car from and now i’m being garnished for a solid 150$ out of my checks. I seem to have been soaked for something i KNOW i didn’t place, and i know who my lienholder is for my car. I deal with them every bloody well month! I know well enough to show them my financing papers from the other company, but i have a feeling i’m going to have to have to batter my head against the brick wall of the courts as well.
Yeah, on the verbal dances, republicans usually win. Rachel owns the discussion, and much to my surprise and delight, Tweets is doing real well these days.
Night all.
Yeah, my jaw dropped when Naomi went that far.
oh my god.. that’s just horrible, alias!
After witnessing the Denver gig yesterday, I’m just convinced it’s an Us and Them thing. I’ve tried to avoid that conclusion, but I can’t anymore.
All I can do in that case, is just play it down.
The California DMV would have a sales record attached to a VIN, and even if it was a 100% cash sale, the state requires that you register the vehicle at the point of sale (the registration fee is bundled into the sale price).
Perhaps your state does something similar, and lacking a VIN attached to a registration with your signature…
But it looks like he’s doing, like, 5 townhalls over recess. As opposed to Jay Inslee’s 2 Telephone town halls. Now that I’m following Inslee more closely (he’s my critter), I’m a little disappointed. Especially with his defecit hawking on behalf of Pelosi on healthcare. In a 1hr conference call (townhall) all the cost-control was related to providers. Not one mention that only about 70cents of each for-profit health insurance dollar actually goes to providing care.
Feh.
Have fun at the townhalls.
FWDiva
I’m sorely tempted to go into a town hall as if I were one of them and throw them completely off balance. I think it would be so easy… and yet, I don’t want to say how here.
Yeah. Not pleased in the least about this. Especially because i really need that money. Hopefully i can get the company that wants all this to stop or ask the court to stop. For now i’m just about ready to tear my hair out. I really didn’t need this to happen when i’m trying to relocate to a new set of roommates/apartment/house to share.
If it wasn’t for the fact that i’m already figuring out how to go about this in my anger. I’d probably be in a lot worse shape. As it is, i’m just angry, not so much hopeless. I’m glad i figured out how to harness that anger into constructive things as a teenager. -_-x But it doesn’t help my general cynicism with the world one bit, either. Bloody hell, i’m only 31 i shouldn’t be THIS disillusioned! The ironic thing about that particular loan? If i HAD applied for it? I never would have gotten it in the first place. My credit is toast, and has been for since 2007! I can’t get a credit card, if i didn’t have a cosigner on the car i’d never have gotten that either!
I know what you mean, sort of. I bookmarked the “Freedom Works” account page, but haven’t gone all the way through to sign up.
I don’t know if I can stomach reading the spew they’ll send.
On the other hand, I want to know what they’re up to.
I’m having trouble following the conversation tonight. Are you saying that Naomi Klein is vocally against the Obama administration prosecuting torture?
Or prosecuting these crimes in general?
I’m not opposed to a different avenue for prosecution than through the WH.
In fact, I would agree. As long as there is prosecution.
Oh, crap,….Marcy!!!! Is that the right answer??!!!!!
I get so confused.
Yeah, I used to call Inslee until I realized he was a wanker. Now I just call my wanker.
Hey pups…
In time zones to the East of mine, you are all at the 35th anniversary of Nixon’s resignation.
Call legal aid.. pronto
OMG, I remember that huge! I was 12, and we were getting ice cream at Baskin Robbins in Phoenix, over on 35th Avenue and Thomas.
It was hot as hell and my parents were so sad.
Yes, they were. It’s tough growing up in Right wing hell, I’ll tell ya.
Likely. I have a definite title for my car and any ownership of vehicles i’ve had. I know what i’ve owned too in this particular area. Thanks for another avenue of attack for this. The only way i’m going to get anything back and to stop this ASAP is to go on the attack. I don’t look forward to it, but i’ll there with knives out if i keep losing money like this! With what’s left? i might as well be working as a gas station clerk again. Like all the gains of the last 5 years of work are nil.
And hope to the high heavens i don’t end up owing them court costs?
Sunny is right. Without Legal Aid, you will have a helluva time recovering your bucks.
While my sisters and I screamed for a prosecution, my Mom cried. She is an avowed Liberal, but they had watched the Constitution trampled beyond what they thought possible.
T’was the motto in my house – The Republic comes first.
So far, one of my Senators has announced her agenda… she will be within an hour (one way) of me next week, but she’s touring hidden chamber of commerce closed holes.
My congressman is a really dumb Republican who will be about a two hour (one way) drive from me in a little town called Flippin. That’s the best chance I have for getting in I think. Sure need a little camera with a decent mic.
What Sunny said. Especially since it looks like someone unscrupulous got a judgement against your wages. That’s just NOT right!
Wish I had more than good wishes to offer. Good luck. Be tough. Go get ‘em.
Oh, maybe call your local TV station if they have a consumer advocate?
FWDiva
Thanks be that you got the SSDI, I’m so glad.
I think Sunny means, find low-cost/public service legal advice. This may only take strongly worded documents directed to the correct parties. Certainly worth checking out. You can ask for risk/benefit assessments as you go.
Oh, maybe state AG’s office–looks like fraud.
Oh, once years ago I got some good info from debtconsolidationcares.com. Don’t know if they’re still there, but it’s another place to start and get support.
FWDiva
Either that or mistaken identity. My combination of name and surname are fairly common. It’s my middle name that’s the kicker. No strange withdrawls from my credit cards either. Just that single annoying thing that i was going to look into taking care of in january. Which is when all hell broke loose with dad being sick. So of course it’s the farthest thing on my mind and still is, with the family issues so prominent. At least it was, until i looked at my paystub and dug through mail i didn’t get until monday!
Yup, knives out and guns blazing (figuratively, legally, etc). You’re not losing money, man, it’s being STOLEN from you.
Even if you’re not netting as much each pay period, you’ve got a lot in education and experience and professionalism compared to working in that gas station. For now, “they” can take some of your money, but nobody can ever take that growth away from you!
FWDiva
I remember Nixon’s resignation. We crowded around an old black and white TV in Haight/Ashbury and watched his ass squirm. When the speech was over there was silence.
And then outrage; so that’s fucking it?!? He fucking quits his day job????
After all this shit!!
Yeah. That’s about the sum total.
Mistaken identity is no excuse, not if they’re grabbing money from your paycheck or your bank accounts. If there’s a court judgement, somebody’s been very, very unscrupulous…to the point of illegality.
And, hey, go after your congresscritter and senators for some constituent services. This is the kind of thing they should be able to throw some weight behind.
Got any journalist/blogger friends who could help you with research? Finding the court filings?
FWDiva
I’m saying she and Maher.. and at least one of the other guests at the time were all advocating a … move forward attitude (in agreement with O)… they all thought it would tear the country apart.
Alias, my heart goes out to you. Legal Aid sounds like a great plan and if not, I wonder if we have any lawyers reading who might be willing to take a look at this, pro bono?
Great idea, Margot
I suspect the legal eagles congregate over at Emptywheel’s. Worth a try.
FWDiva
I was at home in Omaha..My entire household jumped and cheered. I was 9…)
Well how lovely that the country is so wonderfully CONSONANT and UNIFIED at this time.
It pays to Seize The Fucking Day, and if you ask me, it was a buncha days ago. This lunacy of teabirther shit was going to happen anyway from the racist right, so why not just shove the agenda right through and suffer the nuttiness, instead of having only the stimpak through, and we’re STILL suffering the nuttiness!
Arrgh!
I didn’t want to come to the conclusion, but it’s true; it’s
US and THEM, and the last line of the song proves the rule, if you care:
“For the want of the price, of a tea and a slice, the old man died.”
If you care, you’re a liberal, if you don’t care, you’re a thug.
Nothing more unifying than knowing rule of law applies to all, especially at the top.
I still think we must do it or everything from torture to brownshirt funded teabaggers will get worse…. and frankly I think strong leadership /firm hand is the only thing the teabaggers might respond well to in the long run.
BINGO!
I totally mean it when I said “Seize” because right on the heels of Inauguration was the time to do all this, including prosecute for warcrimes.
None of this is going to happen now. None, in any meaningful way. So what’s going to happen is these snakes are going to rise up AGAIN, and way more quickly than we want to think they will.
I’m not saying “Doom, Doom, Doom!” But I am saying, “God dammit! It’s harder to do NOW when we had a better opportunity earlier! Arrrgh!”
I see.
I’m not a fan of Bill Maher. I’m a huge fan of Naomi Klein. When she speaks, I listen.
Except that Sibel Edmonds is speaking, too. Maybe it’s time to follow the truth and let the rips tear as they’re going to do anyway.
But I’m scared.
There’s something the President can do to put this shit to bed – he can get out front and lead. He can push the health care reform proposals, however unlike single-payer, because that’s what he said he would do. People will see him doing as he promised. That is a powerful attraction.
You want to see the teabagging clusterfucks wither? Show them someone unafraid of electoral consequences, unfazed by the assholes in Congress who either counter any meaningful policy or shrink from the sniff of a fight.
The country is waiting for someone to step up and lead. Good ideas or not, but showing leadership and bravado. We are supposed to be a can-do nation, and until Obama shows them that he is their can-do President, they are content to lap up stale beer.
It’s like chess… see the whole board, and, control of the center is key.
We have yet to regain control of the center in DC (the board).
Question for you… since I am thinking about buying a cheap little vid cam. How many minutes did you shoot in total the other day?
That Is Exactly It! Screw polling! Govern, and lead and I’ll be damned if people won’t LOVE it! They will, because it would be fucking NOVEL!
18 minutes out of the 1.5 hours I was there.
There’s a lotta garbage when you shoot live stuff. You’ll need to consider editing software too, beyond the MS Movie Maker that comes with MS Operating systems.
Goodnight. Too impatient to deal with dial-up.
I have not walked the rice paper tonight.
Sweet dreams.
Yeah, that perception of GOPers strong leadership.. always wins votes/support. No matter they are leading folks off a cliff.. no matter at all.
So frustrating… since the nations center is clearly so far left of DC… Obama is terribly afraid of leading… and it shows.
Novel, sure. I would settle for forthright.
But this – from my perspective, he looks like he is dancing for every inch, and many of those inches are backwards. He appears to be off-balance, and that appearance contributes to a grave lack of confidence.
As the cops say, Obama needs to step into the Dems and the Republics and use that friggin list of his to bring down holy Hell on anyone who seeks to reframe the result of the election (which is precisely what assholes from Evan Bayh to John Cornyn are seeking to do, IMHO).
Gawd, I hope this isn’t a bible quote,. but, “Act as tho you have faith, and faith shall be given to you.“
Dude needs to look like he is making progress, and not two-stepping to 2010/2012 The successes will come..
Oh not much.. a flip cam (or something with a better mic) with 60 minutes of space might do nicely for me. I’m on a mac, but flip cam says it comes with software… which I know nothing about.
Good night openhope.
I’m off to bed. my usual early morning saturday shift. *yawns* and either way i need to make some phone calls in the morning, and especially on monday.
I agree with your sentiment.
I have railed about this with gay people for years:
ASSUME YOUR RIGHTS, and make the opposition prove you wrong. And isn’t it crazy that as more and more gay folks just ASSUME they have rights, lo and behold, WE HAVE THEM!
It’s the same today with this new legislation. Dems have not profited from their relationships with gays, and they SHOULD have. Us gay folk moved the ball farther down the field than the Dems did, and they need to take a lesson, not demand obeisance.
Ok. Its late, deep in a thread, etc…
Is it possible that Goopers will tap into some kind of “populist” rage against the party of Wall St., Big Pharma, Big Business, Big Insurance and Big (Blue) Dogs- the Democrats?
A re-alignment of sorts?
(late nights bring out wierd spirits sometimes…)
His rock-star image isn’t an illusion – he has unlimited political potential, and either great barriers (Rahm, Harry) to making it work for him, or he is overly cautious.
I am sick of it, He has wasted enormous political capital, and the more he wastes, the less potency the remaining stores have.
Alias, traditionally Legal Aid has provided the response you need. Yes, you may not get out of this free, but I’d trust them to shoot straight with you.
They aren’t in it for the money.
I hope you rest well, alias.
The problem is that the ragers out there are — to overgeneralize — low-info types with low levels of education. As a result they are easily manipulated by those very big money / big power blocs, and take longer than smarter and/or more educated people would to realize they’re being had. Authoritarian follower personality traits also exacerbate this dynamic.
They must be poised for a couple of major pivots… or all is lost… or they are planning on total chaos with more militancy.
I would wager on the latter at this point.
Unfortunately their vote counts as much as mine…*g*
This goes back to the old Dem axiom: “No one ever got throw out of office by ignoring the Left. Even the Left.”
Democrats are too busy being Republicans, and frankly, teh Gay is associated with the hard-Left, where few dare tread. They run away from Left/Gay/Anti-War/Pro-Single-Payer every chance they get. That has to change.
I think I agree. They do not seem to have a single guiding force to turn it into something other than rage *at this point*.
Actually I see that as a feature, not a bug.
Word.
You’re telling ME! :)
I’ve put up with it for a long long time, and since the Bush years I thought “Hey, you need every ally and must keep every promise to take back power.”
Now that they’ve taken back power, promises and voter/allies don’t cont so much and I feel as if I’ve wasted 30 years caring and doing about this shit.
We have to take the center.
I’m leading a revolution., a peaceful one. Get 100 of your friends
and have them sign these petitions
http://bit.ly/HR676 for single payer health care.
http://bit.ly/single_payer_ross to pressure Blue Dog Mike Ross of Arkansas to get every conservative Democrat to get HR 676 enacted or we boycott his friends at Tyson Chicken in Arkansas.
http://bit.ly/EFCA for the employee free choice act.
Read our blog http://blog.democratz.org
Join the peaceful revolution. Get 100 of your friends to sign these petitions.
They don’t have reasonable people in their midst. and considering everything from stolen elections, false wars, trillions looted… to cheering for and financing brownshirts this week… it would be crazy to spend much time thinking they will reasonably cease their ways.
We have the center. The center thinks the Iraq occupation was a trumped-up farce. The center wants the financial interests to wane in political influence. The center elected a Black man to the Presidency.
What we need to do is cement and mobilize them. This is accomplished by leading.
Ok, I agree in most situations.
However, for the health care issue, I think the more “leftist” the better.
Let me explain: Civil Rights and Medicare were fairly hard-left ideas ( for the general public) at the time and now we take them for granted. There are only a few issues/causes where the Democrats will be “allowed” by our so called “center-right” nation to do do something progressive/ Leftist, before they say “too much”.
Of course the center is the part that, in the poem, when things get extreme enough, will not hold.
Yes, but I meant in the House (we are somewhat close), and the Senate (a very long way to go).
And of course… doing something radical about our MSM.
While I don’t disagree with the premise, I am not referring to those registered as Independents. There are Independents and Dems and Goopers there in that center, and although we hear a lot of noise from the active-Right, they are far from decisive in electoral terms.
If you believe, as I do, that most people just want to raise their kids and not die in poverty, there is a very large difference between political ideologies. Now, if you can get Senators and Critters and Presidents to serve their constituencies thusly, you have made something happen. The center is not just those NOT registered Democrats and Republicans.
Couldn’t agree more.
Oh, them. Yeah, completely agree.
There is little hope of reaching them without getting the money out of it. I don’t have any clue as to how we do that.
Looking back in history, it seems like the more radical the situation, the more radical the solution. Great Depression? Radical solutions.
I think this may be a similar situation. Obama admits that it is untenable as it is. Will the solution meet the severity of the problem?
If I could sit with him in Martha’s Vineyard, I think that is what I would ask…
Don’t disagree with you at all. The “will not hold” meme came up in a DK diary on Krugman’s excellent blog, i.e. in pre-WWII Germany and Italy, brownshirting started early and the intimidation they created inhibited the good people of the center from objecting to the accelerating rightward mob rule drift.
…in other words, its time to fish, or cut bait.
Tanking economy may be the countries only double edged sword of a hope.
Based on imports, military and financial crooks atm… it has to implode or explode at some point
The whole country was that center in the run-up to Iraq. And I get the drift.
That the ‘center’ is not big enough to carry the day is a well-tended fiction, and there are a huge number of authors. This place and others whole reason for being is to break through into the open and let that numeric advantage be realized. We are short on money, access, tactics and ferocity.
Aliasof westgate – are you still here?
Did you get any notice of the garnishment? Is there a judgment? Have you seen an order from a court?
If there is a judgment that you know about, was it by default? That is,
did they get an order because you weren’t in court when they requested the judgment?
And, if that’s what happened, were you ever served (did you receive by certified mail or a process server delivering it) notice that you had been sued for this amount?
If you have no documents yourself, start with your employer – they have an order telling them to garnish your wages – ask to see it, what court it’s from, etc. Then call the court and ask for the date of the judgment.
If you were never served, you can ask the court to remove the default judgment and start over.
Chances are, if it’s under $5000 or even $10000, it will be in whatever court hears “small claims” in your state. (I know, $5000 isn’t a small claim to you, but that’s a typical amount for small claims court).
I’d suggest doing this much yourself right away, even as you also call your local Legal Aid, or Legal Services (different names different places) for help. Legal Aid programs are always overwhelmed and backlogged with more clients than they can help. It may take awhile to get an appointment; they may not be able to help you – especially in times like these, they simply may not have the manpower to take your case. So, be prepared to pursue it yourself if necessary.
Even if they can take it, the more info you have to give them, the quicker the legal services lawyer can get up to speed.
Good luck.
Right. And instead of braving it out and delivering the bad news, Obama handed it back to the perps who fucked it up in the first place, who proceeded to patch and fill, and deliver to the players even more influence and sway over the damaged economy than before.
That was probably the moment.
If I may jump in here, as this may dovetail with an idea I’ve had for some time…that is, the center shifts a fairly statistically consistent percentage over decades. The center is the great mass that will give most presidents a surpisingly small “mandate” (they like to call it) each election. Very few really had large pluralities: FDR, LBJ…
What drives the shifts are “extreme” elements (not to my way of thinking as far as the left is concerned).
She turned in, but I will try to catch her and point her back to your comment.
Well. I’m hitting the wall.. Good to see you newton, Hmmm and Chuck..
Good night all.
I’m sure that is correct. Assuming, as I said, that ‘most of us’ want to raise our kids and not die in poverty – Left, center, and Right – that center could give a flying fuck if John marries Philip, or if a woman who needs a doctor gets to see a doctor.
When they are fearful, and that fear is stoked to unbelievable height by ‘external forces,’ we have a problem, IMHO.
It’s not about mandate overall, unless it is about war and peace, but about constancy of living standard.
Oh, thanks ES.
I’m about to turn out the lights myself, but if she needs some guidance she can contact me at tejanarus55 at yahoo dot com.
Not sure what state she’s in, but I can help her find her legal aid program and maybe give her a start on a plan. (ex-legal aid lawyer here)
I will forward this to aliasofwestgate the next time I see her here.
Kewl. G’nite everybody.
nite ES
nite you guys
“Living standard” pretty much sums it up. Obama said if the economy doesn’t improve, he’s a one-termer. Health care is a part of this-if the center doesn’t feel like their situation is better in that regard, its “goodbye Democrats”.
And, yes, I agree they can be swayed by those external forces. Right now, I think the center is oblivious, but if the Right suceeds in painting this as a Democratic capitulation to Big Business (as we sit at August 8th, 2009), I think some “sane” Republican might be savvy enough to appeal to the center.
Sweet Dreams…
In electoral terms, Obama had himself a very good week. The ladies returned from NKorea, stock market zoomed up due to lower job losses than expected, Hillary kicked the shit out of John Bolton, a host of other small triumphs that add up.
But yeah, he seems to be trying to look resolute on health care without being resolute, and I don’t know how many of those details will sink in with voters. He may pull it off if he can convince the country that health care failed because Republicans squashed it, but he will be open on two fronts: he will be admitting that the Republicans took him down on a signature issue, and his mandate is translucent.
If health care succeeds, he has to convince folks that it is substantial and he kicked the monolopists in the teeth while doing it, and both of these things may be tough sells.
really, nite you guys
Co-sign. g’nite…
And, I’d much rather have the latter…
Aloha… Anybody still around…?
yo
Not really “still”, time to get shakin.
Hey, Bro… I’m working up top the Mtn., they had us stay at the base camp for most of the night… I’m a little concerned about Hurricane Felicia that’s due to be in my neighborhood sometime on Mon…. Should be interesting to see if my tents will survive…! ;-)
They seem to be saying it’s going to weaken but that is pretty relative I guess. Are you on the big island? My buddy from the Nam lives in Kealakekua.
He’s on the leeward side and I’m on the windward side… They’re talking that it’ll only be a Tropical Storm when(if) it arrives, that’s still 50+mph winds…!
Prepare for the worst hope for the best I guess!
Here’s a good look at Felicia…!
Batten down the hatches! Have a good one mon, gotta gather up the critters and head out to the farmer’s market.
Roger that…! You have a good one too..! 8-)
Good morning. Anyone up?
Howdy, Ma’am! Long time no ’see’…! 8-)
Weather here, except for rainy days, has been spectacular. August 8, and yesterday was 80 degrees high, 55 last night, and low humidity. Spending all the time I can outdoors. This season is too good to be inside.
How are you?
Could always be better, but, doing alright…! ;-)
Time for me to head outside for an hour… Ta-ta…!
Heh. My garage and pantry resembles this ATM. Don’t know what the mouse’s rationale is in OR, but here in mid-Hudson, think they’re just looking for a dry place. Lotsa rain.
good morning…. anyone bumping around the blogs?
Good morning katymine. How are you today?
Morning, Ecahn..morning katymine!! And, surprise, surprise, it’s sort of chilly here at Chez Siberia this morning.
I’m luvin this weather. 80 degrees daytime, 55 degrees at night. What’s not to like?
Coffee’s gone. Idiot on WJ, so I’m off to read, maybe prune more low branches off trees.
have been feeling so much better this week….. But have a tumor in my left hip that the MRI the joint is thinning and might unstable….
Monday I start radiation therapy on my left hip……. now I am on SSDI but still cannot enroll in Medicare for 24 months….
To answer whoever it was late last night? they did serve me with papers, i managed to get at least some of them. *sighs* So they can still take it out of my hide until i find some way to stop it. I’m still calling the origin company this morning when i get half a chance, though. I need to find out how they did this. I’ll have to work with DOT regarding whatever car is registered to that as well, beyond my current vehicle.
I feel better after having slept, but i’m frustrated. I NEED that money, it’s not like i can spare much of anything at the moment!
Good morning, pups. It’s Collins, Blow and Herbert today. Ms. Collins says that “August is the Cruelest Month,” and that with vocal protesters following members of Congress this summer and disrupting gatherings whenever possible, advocates for health care reform need a better story line. Mr. Blow has also taken note of the “Health Care Hullabaloo” and says while many Democrats are sitting it out, anti-reformist Republicans, blinded by fear and armed with misinformation, are attempting to shut down the debate rather than add to it. Mr. Herbert, in “Women at Risk,” says we have become so accustomed to living in a society saturated with misogyny that the barbaric treatment of women and girls has come to be more or less expected.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, the cold drinks are in the fridge for later, and I’ve got corn muffins this morning. I’m heading out to the garden to clean the bird feeders before it gets too hot. The rain we’ve been having lately makes the seed at the bottom all icky, so they’ve kept me rather busy lately. Have a great day.
