But I absolutely love her… and never heard anyone who doesn’t. What makes you think she is / was underrated?

Under-rated is probably not the right term. Not as popular as say, Billie or Ella. And I can’t figure out why. Folks I know can name Ella and Billie in a heartbeat, but they never seem to know Vaughn’s name.

Perplexes me, but maybe it’s just the people I know.
