It also makes sense that harpies are making this into a BIG deal because it will take the focus off of health care reform and question the very people who are trying to encourage dialog about such reform.

Looks like HUGE CORP is winning again, just by all of us talking about these smaller issues. There is only so much that $1.4 million dollars in lobbying can buy in a day. Let’s make people talk about other things, instead.

Scary that you draw the line at telling the truth at the point where the truth seeps onto someone you like – in an unfavorable way.

Ironic, that you and yours are the ones that applaud Keith for his calling out of rightwing blowhards, for his “revealing of the truth” about these “liars” and for their dreadful lying.

I dont doubt that Keith is a Democrat or puts his check mark in the liberal column on most issues… just doubt that he is an infallible god, and that progressives should act so desperate about their side being given a platform (via Countdown) that they are willing to defend the indefensible and aid and abet his behavior when it is tawdry and deserves its own calling out.

He makes some good calls in outing the rightwing, but he is not worthy of medals of courage, especially when it comes to his obsession with FOX … who doesnt know at this point who they are and what they do? (Of course, when Joe Scarborough mocks the tortured and Mika mocks Americans as unAmerican if they dont like Palin, they remain untouched by Worst Persons.) A lot of what he does is about competition and ratings and money – and a lot of it is a waste of time re becoming truly informed about what truly matters. (Like when he reports about torture… that is worthy… the ten millionth shot of some stupid teabagger and 10 minutes of commentary on them, for the ten miilionth time, is not.)

Go ahead and persist in protecting “our side” of the media from worthy criticism. However, if you do, dont moan about the crap state of the media. That bell wont ring… true.

Keith, unfortunately, has not.

Just the fact that he would jump right back to dissing OReilly once the cat was out of the bag, is not to his credit, just the opposite. It showed (I thought, as Greenwald did, quite obviously) that he was doing some quick CYA and that his uppers would allow it because they too need to keep up the fiction that GE dont meddle with the news… lol. It also showed that his use of Tiller as cover for shutting up about OReilly was without ethics. Although, somehow, in KeithBotLand, that he came out to diss BillO once again, is considered a sign of his greatness and supports his integrity around this issue, 110%.
