Roy Blunt on the Birthers: Unedited

YThis constitutes all the footage that Stark and cameraman Brett Vaughn took of Blunt. Although Blunt says he believes that Obama was born in the United States, he still actively feeds the “birther” fire by asking “why the President can’t produce a birth certificate. I don’t know anybody else that can’t produce one. And I think that’s a legitimate question. No health records, no birth certificate.”

Report Confirms Poor Electrical Work by KBR Endangers US Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan

There’s a new and damning report from the Department of Defense Inspector General on its investigation into the electrocution death of Staff Sgt. Ryan Maseth. The report concludes that Staff Sgt. Maseth’s death was the result of shoddy electrical work, electrical work performed by U.S. military contractor KBR.

It also concludes that the Army failed to properly oversee KBR’s work, allowing the danger to U.S.

House Progressives Rebel on Health Care; Tell Blue Dogs to Get Stuffed

We’re hearing that the Congressional Progressive Caucus is not going to lie down and get rolled by the Blue Dogs on the Health Care bill. They are having a press conference tomorrow at 2:30 on the Hill, and tonight they are circulating a letter for signatures. What the letter will contain is unclear, but at this point they are saying they have the votes to defeat the Waxman-Blue Dog compromise on the floor.
