All that claptrap about “fiscal responsibility” is bullshit — all they’re trying to do is load the bill down with more pork for their districts.

If Pelosi truly does have the votes to pass the bill, let the Blue Dogs on E&C go back to their districts and tell all the rich doctors they overplayed their hands and couldn’t shake the House down for them.

Rick Scott’s organization, Conservatives for Patients’ Rights, is a very well-funded organization, and they’re happy right now about what Senator Reid has said about delaying the passage of health care reform.

Chellie Pingree is a freshman member of the House.  She’s showing a lot more guts than the chickenshit freshman Democrats in the Senate who are backing Max Baucus and touting the need for a “bipartisan” compromise.

Joe Lieberman wants to “slow it down.”  Obama wants them to stay and get it done.

Join President Obama.  Tell them to stay.

According to the official WH schedule, President Obama is having Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Sen. Max Baucus over to the WH for a meeting this morning. You think health care might come up?

My favorite touch on this is that Reid and Baucus will be meeting in the Oval Office.

Shorter Republicans: doesn’t everyone see that the problem with Obama is that he’s an angry black man?

I was hoping she’d deliver it August 8th, but oh well.
