This is sooo reminiscent of the SwiftBoating attacks on Kerry in 04. I think the groups of believers in both are the same group. It doesn’t matter if the charge is true or not. They will come up with some sort of purple heart band aids for the birther set… and wear it proudly. Mike’s video is the best antidote I’ve seen so far.

I wholeheartedly agree, I just have no patience for either group. Living down here in Tejas I can tell you that though they don’t say it out loud, it’s obvious that a whole lot of folks here are outraged that a black man is president.

There is a key difference between birthers and 9/11 theorists. Birthers’ conspiracy theory was born out of racism and resentment. As far as I can tell (and truthfully, I’ve not looked deeply) 9/11 theorists are bouyed by the merciless secrecy and known evil deeds of Cheney and neocons, et al. They are not motivated primarily by opposition to Repug. policy.
