A “Perfumed Prince” is a brown noser and mostly a pentagon politician. IOW, an officer who will use all the tools available to avoid a combat job. But does want the gongs-ie awards & decorations-that can be gotten while in a combat command job. These PPs also have a “sponsor” or “mentor” who is a senior officer PP who is willing to assist in advancing the PPs career.<br /> There have been, in the 2 recent wars, a definite lack of warriors in command positions. Not surprising as the PPs vastly out number the warriors.
