Let’s not forget Hubert Humphrey, “Clean Gene” McCarthy, and Walter Mondale. One thing about Minnesota’s great Senators. At least in modern times, they’ve all been Democrats. All the Republicans are duds, but at least they’re never right wingnuts like Jeff Sessions.

Yeah - Amy is absolutely a fucking laugh a minute. Right up to the time when you look at her voting record & notice how often she supports the right-wing bullshit she was sent to DC to oppose. And heaven forefend you call her office & ask why she voted in favor of Bush policies. Her staff will gladly lie and say she didn’t vote the way the record shows she voted or that they are totally unaware what the WH claimed the day before with the comment “You don’t expect us to read ALL the news do you?”

Maybe she can get a job on SNL if we can get a real Democrat to primary her.

the insurance Catch-22. The Feds owe folks for the damage which, to be clear, was caused by their bad levees, not the storm.

What do the Feds need to do to ‘make things right’? I’m sure Dem leaders would like to know what they need to do to get Landrieu’s vote on the healthcare reform bill.

the entire swamp needs drained and yes we would rid ourselves of some that represent the people but that is the price that must be paid to regain control of the gov.

of course then the system must be changed or we will have in time a group of senators still beholding to the lobbyists for money for reelection.

I have to admit she speaks well and looks good on tv.

we are a failing nation but living in denial. nationalism can overwhelm the rational minds of an entire nation. history tells us that.

but there is always hope. :-)
