It remains an abiding mystery to outsiders that California, of all places, which we have been led to believe is teh capital of gay, should have put homophobia in its constitution. I hope that your marriage is ruled as valid as all here know it to be.

If I understood correctly the CA supreme court decision, their rationale for leaving the existing marriages in place was that prop 8 only affected marriages from then into the future. I would think, based on their argument, that if someone’s marriage was recognized in California before prop 8 it would still be valid based on this argument, though it might be necessary to go to court to establish that.

Disparaging Anderson Cooper? The closeted Anderson Cooper worships at the throne of wingnuttia. Chris Mathews is also a great promoter of fascism - especially the element of fascism that describes the collusion of government and big business.

Both of those “journalists” are a gift to the cause of Free Republic.
