Good morning, pups. The Moustache of Wisdom is off today, and MoDo has created another piece of tiresome fiction. This one is called “Sarah’s Secret Diary,” and it’s about how the governor of Alaska has resigned, and how sad it is that the unpatriotic, godless media that is picking away at her will never understand it’s about country. I’m just as willing to laugh at Sarah Palin as the next person, but this is tiresome, predictable, and profoundly unfunny. Hey — I just described MoDo…

The coffee and tea are ready, I’ve got lemon and poppy seed muffins this morning, and the cold drinks are ready in the fridge. We’ve been having rain in the evenings lately, which is wonderful. We had some fairly heavy rain last evening, and there’s more forecast for today and tomorrow. Hoover is furious, and thinks I need to control the weather better so it only rains when he’s inside… Have a great day.

I get a kick about the parts in that Mackris transcript where he talks about how much he likes a vibrator in his anus, and how much he’s looking forward to cheating on his pregnant wife while he’s in Italy.

And to think this “person” gets on any BigMedia show whenever he wants to pontificate about morals and anything else he wants. What a country! He’s Jackoff Smearnoff!

I’ve tried a few times, but I just can’t watch that. As annoying as it sometimes is (Cokie Roberts, I mean you…) I listen to Nice Polite Republicans in the morning. I’m less likely to show up at work in a foul temper!

I have thirty internet news sites from around the world that I scan every morning. I used to listen to NPR but they went the way of reading the fascist press releases and calling it news a long, long time ago. Now I listen to WCRBclassical radio and have a much mellower outlook on the day ahead. I really do not know how some of the pups here can tolerate listening/watching/reading the garbage, purported to be news, that is shoveled out daily in the MSM.

I never listen/watch right-wing radio/TV. Except for Morning Joe. And the token Democrat (Mika) is as right-wing as Joe is. But — I can laugh at them. For example, she was lecturing Joe and Barnicle that the REAL America loved Palin. No, the coasts are NOT real America! Only the inbred, uneducated hicks are! (And face it – only inbred uneducated hicks would actually still think Palin was sane.)

You might think I am not getting the whole story, only listening/watching librul people. Quite the contrary — I only get FACTS now. (And I threw away my blood pressure meds — my BP is perfect now!)

What we all seem to forget is that, as much as BillO spews this kind of thing, he has more viewers than just about any one else on cable news (not that that’s any kind of measure, but it is a fact). So that means an awful lot of people are getting Bill’s view of the world, unfiltered and uncontested. The majority of his audience isn’t just watching his show to get the ‘other’ side of the discourse. For many, it’s the only view they’re getting and they often quote him as being as factual as G-d himself.

It’s a pretty sweet deal for Bill, being able to say anything you want without challenge. But it’s tough for an American people who can’t do the critical thinking that would call BS on some of the stuff he says that’s outright wrong.

You are so right! I am from middle America. I am from New Jersey 2 hours south of NYC the world’s capital and 2 hours north of DC the nation’s capital. I am 30 min east of philly our nation’s founding city and 30 min east of Atlantic city an early capital of capitalism until las vegas arrived. I am from the middle of America. The thing that always fries me is when I’m in a public place — like an airport or rental car waiting line — and Fox is on. I make it a point to either change the channel, turn down the volume, or complain big time.

Folks have the tv tuned to Fox without even thinking about it — or thinking at all.

So, as I was scrolling down the RSS feed, I saw “Wholly Without Merit” and O’Reilly’s disgusting mug. I thought: absolutely!

You are so right :-) People have a choice what to listen to or watch and many choose this slug and the radio slug with the cigar stuck in his face. There is something seriously wrong with these people and the Taco Bell that tunes them in.

OTOH, there is CNN which was all MJ all the time when they weren’t broadcasting Sanford’s infidelities and vacation plans…
