Evidently, this wingnut doesn’t think much of George HW Bush and John Cornyn, but seriously. Fat, stupid and not reading your own links is no way to go through life, Warner.
…by her own admission, she was admitted to Princeton ahead of other law students as a result of affirmative action despite having lower grades. She once gleefully called herself a “perfect affirmative action baby,” even as her grades were “highly questionable.”
All that is bad enough. To be sure, high grades in law school are not in and of themselves any guarantee of an ideal Supreme Court Justice and should not stand as a final qualification at any rate.
…
So, this is the person that a President of the United States has proffered to take a seat on the nation’s highest court. A racist with low grades and a sense of entitlement that has been reversed or scolded in five out of the six cases of hers that have appeared before past Supreme Court sessions.
And this is from one of the articles he links to.
Judge Sonia Sotomayor once described herself as “a product of affirmative action” who was admitted to two Ivy League schools despite scoring lower on standardized tests than many classmates, which she attributed to “cultural biases” that are “built into testing.”… “With my academic achievement in high school, I was accepted rather readily at Princeton and equally as fast at Yale, but my test scores were not comparable to that of my classmates,” she said.
Nothing in there about "lower grades" or "highly questionable grades" or "grades in law school." As the piece makes clear, Sotomayor is referring to her SAT and LSAT scores, which, to be fair, perhaps Warner doesn’t know about because standardized tests aren’t required for admission at the Hazzard County College of Bible Learnin’ and Tractor Fixin’.
And as anyone with the proper number of chromosomes could figure out using teh Googles, her grades sucked so badly at Princeton she graduated summa cum — and she did so poorly academically at Yale Law School that they made her editor of the Yale Law Journal.
Dumbass.
UPDATE
allan makes a good point in comments.
Uh, Princeton doesn’t have a law school. Epic fail.

I scored lower on test in HS and then never finished college because I had ADD before there was a term for it let alone a treatment. Do I get a bye on that? I thought not.
Why is being reversed by this Supreme Court not a qualification for appointment? Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy and Alito formed the Ricci majority and even Chick Todd says the legislated from the bench.
Dumbass; beautiful.
I wonder if these intelligent design folks who say, that if you give a monkey a type writer the monkey could never put a sentence together, have ever read this bozo’s writing?
To be sure, great beauty is not in and of itself any guarantee of an ideal blart blart and should not stand as a final qualification at any rate.
…
So, this is the person that a President of the United States has proffered to blart blart blart. An unattractive person . . . .
But no, he doesn’t see what he did there.

your funny.
This Willis is a piece of work
BT, I think you’re being a tad generous to Warner.
Nothing there about “perfect affirmative action baby”. Is that from someplace else? The quote I read said “product of affirmative action.” I think the “cultural bias” stuff is bullshit so i wish she hadn’t have said that. But the standardized test are given too much weight just in general.
What do you get when grades are assigned based on attendance at prayer meetings?
LOL.
Sounds like a question for me. . .
A: Well-attended prayer meetings.
Next question?
Unfortunately they read that as
Hazzard County College of Bible Learnin and World Runnin
Uh, Princeton doesn’t have a law school. Epic fail.
MN Supremes Franken won
“as anyone with the proper number of chromosomes could figure out”
Umm… Chimpanzees have the proper number of chromosomes. So do all the higher apes. Maybe we need a new genus: Homo Rebublicanus?
(Although I suspect the Republicans don’t consider themselves Homo Sapiens, becuase 1) They are not Homo, 2) They were created by God and cannot evolve, and 3) as evidenced by this article they are not Sapiens (wise)).
MN Court rules unanimously for Franken!!!!
Still a signature running around loose but one more step toward FINALLY!
Those standardized tests are crap.
I have no learning disabilities and I scored in the 5th percentile on the GRE. The only reason I got into grad school was because I applied to the same department where I did my undergrad work. Thank goodness I had very good grades.
Oh, and I’m of European descent, so I don’t think cultural bias has much to do with it.
Heterorepublianus
Damn, I’m on a predicting roll. Said this morning today would be the day.
Got a link? CNN.com is still snoozin’, but they did have Michael’s viewing as breaking news. Just fuckin’ shoot me.
FRANKEN’S IN…MNSC RULES…NO ESCAPE FOR COLEMAN OR PAWLENTY!!
Josh Marshall has it up at TPM.
Forget getting in what were her grades in college? Did she once she got in prove the idea that the supposedly low tests and grades were right and they predicted her low grades or did the tests fail and Sotomayor did good once she got in?
Once you say an idea you should follow the thought to its conclusion.
Heck forget college good grades do not predict later success in life provided you graduate.
I think we need new education tests.
Should have finished reading the post its just this Dork got me so pissed I had to say something right then.
I thought you called it yesterday.

MINNESOTA RULES!
Since we’re talking about education…anyone up for signing a petition to the Congresscritters to help relieve the burden of college loans?
Homo Rebublicanus – more true than the Republicans would admit?
Citizen ghostof911:
Yeah now if the God damned Minnesota DFL will quit cowering in the closet and come out and kick the Independence Party’s ass back into South Dakota, we might be on ta sumpthin BIG!!!
Sanford admits “crossing the line” with additional wimmens
When I left early morning swim, I started to ask, “And would it be too much to ask for one very small piece of GOOD news today…. for a change?”
Can’t get into Josh’s place to read about MN but msnbc also has some breaking on sanford admitting to additional, hummmmmm, shall we call them “dalliances”, with other women. Stick a fork in him…………
If Diaper Dave is still in office…
That’s what I get for being on dial-up……….beverage of choice? Too weird I elected to use the same “d” word…..heading over to your linky in hopes that isn’t totally busy.
Let’s see, I believe she graduated second in her class in Law School. I could swear I have read that, but can’t seem to find it in “the Google.” She certainly graduated summa cum laude from Princeton, and that ain’t no affirmative action thang, that comes from her own hard work.
Judge Alito, as an appeals court judge, was reversed four times, once unanaimously. (no unanimous reversals on Sotomayor,)
The significant thing about her reversal rate is that only five cases were accepted for review by the Supreme Court in her 17 years as a judge.
The court is much more likely to accept cases that seem likely to be reversed by at least some of the justices.
Non-lawyers who leap on this so-called “terrible” reversal rate merely demonstrate that they know nothing about how the Supreme Court works, or its constitutional role. They should just STFU.
Hey Mods, can you please delete the link in my 31? Thanks!
He lusted in his heart just like Jemme Caarter.
Jeez, ya go away for alittle while to do some research/googling, and all heck breaks loose!

(in a GOOD way)
I will leave the claim of being “scolded” by the Supremes to others to disprove. But “racist” and “sense of entitlement” is extremist (and racist) nonsense from Outer Wingnuttia. Of course, this charge is being transmitted by the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy to destroy Sonia S. as a person, rather than just defeat her nomination. KKKarl and drug addled windbag Rush Limbaugh have pushed this falsehood. KKKarl and Rush are experts in racism, being two of America’s greatest racists. But how would Sonia have a sense of entitlement? She was not a trust fund baby. She had to work her way through the legal system, controlled by white, wealthy, and privileged men.
This statement has the Wingnuts shocked and outraged and angry at the Racism. They do hate Racism so much that they use it in every election. But the Supreme Court, does not have a tradition of diversity and racial justice. Recall Dred Scott, Separate But Equal, and other “racist” court decisions. But we hope that Justices can be chosen who reject this long ugly tradition. Wingnuts, keep throwing your racist charges at Sotomayor and you will pay for it at election time.
where ya been bubbah?
oh, you know, just like down is up and back is forward, to wingnuts “a sense of entitlement” means uppity n—–rs, women, and other assorted minorities who claim they have a right to be treated as if they were white men.
Perhaps it comes from welfare, among other programs, being classified as an “entitlement,” meaning if you qualify under the rules, you are “entitled” to receive the benefit. AFter all, all minorities of any sort are all on welfare, doncha know?
Any Moderators around? Bueller?….Bueller?…..
So affirmative action helped her get into Princeton. Ummm . . . shouldn’t the fact that, given that chance, she graduated summa cum laude and went on to become the editor of the Harvard Law Review pretty much prove the value of affirmative action?
Byrd is at least out of the hospital.
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes…..-hospital/
Aargh! This belongs upstairs!
Just to survive a staph infection seems amazing at age 92. But I do hope Virginia dems are quietly putting together a strong progressive replacement for him. It may be sooner than the Senator thought.
Exactly!!!!!
If that wingnut doesn’t think that Sotomayor is qualified, he ought to check out the resume of one Clarence Thomas, a sitting Justice on the SCOTUS.
I’d also note that Yale Law School doesn’t really have “grades.” My understanding is that in your first year it’s pass/fail and thereafter its honors/pass/fail.
And I’m pretty sure that the editor of the Yale Law Review wasn’t middling by with pass “grades.”
You mean, he did not have sexual relations with those women?
