It is difficult to be insane 365 days a year. Occasionally one has to sit back and commune quietly for a day and ask God, with whom you think you have a personal relationship, to smite ACORN. Apparently this is what Michelle Bachmann was doing yesterday because somebody stepped up in the Minnesota GOP to grab the mantle of crazy for just one day.
As an Iowan, I would ask someone to step up and let Steve King take a day off once in a while.
Anyhoo, I give you John Kline’s thoughts, to use the term liberally (he hates that), on Franken v. Coleman:
I would like to see the Minnesota Supreme Court say there isn’t a winner here. There is not a winner. We cannot declare a winner…
But this is truly unique. I don’t know that anybody knows of anything like this anywhere in the country, ever, where you had a race this close and no reasonable way to resolve it.
I’m sure John Kline said the same thing about Bush v. Gore. Oh wait, that race had a reasonable way to resolve available, but the Supreme Court decided against that.
— Good thing, according to Kline, Bush v. Gore never happened. Whew.

There is crazy and then there is just plain stupid.
Bachmannites to the north, and Kline-iacs to the south. Minneapolis and St. Paul are surrounded. Will they survive this tag team of loons?
Good morning, pups. It’s Bobo and Herbert today. Bobo got out his crayons and produced “Vince Lombardi Politics” in which he opines that leading Democrats seem open to nearly any idea so long as it will lead to passing legislation, perhaps at the expense of passing sensible legislation. Mr. Herbert asks “How Long is Long Enough?” and tells us that Mohammed Jawad was captured as a teenager in Kabul and tortured in American custody. Now administration lawyers are blocking efforts to secure his freedom.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and I’ve got bagels and cream cheese today. The cold drinks are in the fridge, and I’m on my way to get a second cup of tea and then to water the veggie beds and admire the 2 little white eggplants. The purple eggplants have blossoms, but no fruit yet. Have a great day.
Water the veggies! Hah! We have had just three days without rain this month. Our average rainfall for June is 2.3 inches and we have had over 7 already and it is pissing with rain right now, even the fish are fed up with it. No fruit is setting and the buds are rotting on the plants. If I send you some rain will you send me some sun please.
Bush/Gore was not that close if it was they would have counted the votes, right?
I’m more than willing to send you a bunch of our sun — the temperature was 102° (judging by the sensor in the shade) with a heat index of 118 when I got home from work yesterday. Today it’s only supposed to be in the mid 90s… I was hopeful yesterday evening when it started to get darkish and windy, but all we got was a lot of wind and a 1 hour power outage. [puts her back into it, and shoves sunshine in nomolos’ direction]
I didn’t realize that Ronnie rode both ways….
Totally OT Does anyone know of a complete list of O’Reilly advertisers? Thanks.
By the way, Reagan looks really silly in a girdle.
Nice link to Kline’s idiot remarks. The comments are funny.
Really. What are those…. boots, are they ?
Yes he had a lot of difficulty recognising a horses ass even though he saw one every morning while shaving
wow. you’re still getting that?! We’re done with that stuff. take it easy. It’s back to normal here – 90’s & afternoon t-storms.
the fish are fed up??? LOL. I’m trying to picture their looks of consternation. I think I can do it after all those years of SpongeBob
Yup. Between the girdle and them “ridin’ boots”, it looks like he’s been taking correspondence courses at the Ministry of Silly Walks. Man, I wish the intertubes were around when that Bozo was president. He never would have survived us.
And then, if yer really, really unlucky, ya run across somebody who is *both*. :-(
And all too many of those have an (R) after their name. ‘Course, better that than a (D).
…recognising a horses ass even though he saw one every morning while shaving
heh. I bet in the later years he could see the horse’s ass while riding too.
(remember the Dudley Do-Right Reverse Mount?)
…correspondence courses at the Ministry of Silly Walks.
had a client recently who, among other things, had gotten a ticket for “Walking in a Roodway”.
poor guy – the first thing his lawyer thought of was to do the entire defense in full-blown Monty Python…..
Come to think of it, Nancy does remind me of Nell.
Zappa said the most abundant molecule in the universe is stupidity. It just happens to be highly concentrated in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
…to smite ACORN.
I thought that all the kewl kids were referring to Acorn as The Black Panther Party these days…
There’s another rumor that this will be the week we get a decision but, supposedly, the attorneys get notified on Monday if a decision is coming on Thursday. Anyone know if that happened?
every single day franken there is no decision for franken indicates the court does not want him to take a seat, there is no conclusion they can make other then the fact that franken won the election, yet they have for some reason refused to come down with their decision
It looks like they are pouting.
Care to speculate what that reason might be?
Morning all, People in Iran have the right to vote but not to have it counted in MN they have the right to vote and to have it counted it just doesn’t mean jack shit.
Consistency is not a Republican value.
Either is conservatism, really, except when it serves a political advantage.
That said, populism and liberalism are not all that present in the Democratic party after election time.
The thing that grates my ass is that Republicans seem to consistently gain an advantage with their inconsistancy.
Bush v Gore – decided in under 3 months
Franking v Coleman – less than a year if we are lucky
The thing that grates my ass is that Republicans seem to consistently gain an advantage with their inconsistancy.
Face it – republicans are better politicians than are democrats.
This is OT but astounding. Did you all see what happened at a Francine Busby gathering? There was supposedly a noise complaint so the police showed up with helicopters and pepper spray. How does that even happen in the U.S.? Going to go look for a link.
He also said
“you got nothin but groupies and promoters to love you
and a pile of laundry by the hotel door
don’t it ever get lonesome”
Why does the picture of Reagan exude evilness from it? I’m serious. I look at that picture and get the feeling it was around that time our nation started collapsing thanks to him.
I hope Al Franken is declared the official winner soon and I also hope BachmannCheetos loses her job at the same time…

Phoenix Woman had a post on the Silo yedterday that had a more sanguine outlook having to do with deadlines for filing for a stay and the end of the year for Scotus. Sorry can’t link with BlackBerry, but I found it by searching on Franken
Obviously what Minnesota needs is a Guardian Council to ensure that the will of the people is done. I know Michelle Bachmann is terribly busy at the moment, but do you think that John Kline could be persuaded to lead this civic endeavor? The people of Minnesota would be all too grateful for his rapier sharp intellect and moral leadership, I’m sure.
My 95 year old aunt lives up there, but when I asked her what was wrong with MN that they voted in Bachmann, she had no idea what I was talking about.
She does her activism the old fashioned way; she writes letters…
It’s the jackboots (er, riding boots), I think.
But sometimes crazy and just plain stupid are hard to tell apart.
So that picture is of Kline carrying Mussolini’s water? Oh, wait! That’s Reagan dressed as Musslolini? ;-)
Michelle Bachmann has you liberal lunatics running scared. She is not afraid of you Marxists that are trying to take over this country. God Bless her!
