This hits way too close to home. My sister-in-law’s niece married into Bruce Murch’s family. (He is a biggie in the Full Quiver Mission.)

I can tell you — these nuts are not only totally insane, they are dangerous, too. Most of my friends just think it is funny — they are harmless nuts. But I know better.

Will she forgive him? Absolutely, every stinking day for the rest of his stinking life. What a nightmare, I doubt this was old Mark’s very first assault on the Grand Tetons beyond his marital bed, because it sure seems like he’s been trying to get caught for a while. The statement reads to me like she was swinging the cleaver two weeks ago when she kicked him out of the house. It also reads like this was something akin to telling him to get his stuff in a pile.

My guess is also that Mrs. Sanford has been working on this statement for a little more than today.

Maybe I’m a cynic, but could it be that the speech seems a bit well-crafted? My wife would be swinging the cleaver at this point (at least I like to think so). Could it be that the Poor Wronged Woman is telling a list of deep-pocketed fundie donors that there is still one politically connected Sandford that hasn’t left the fold?

I find it interesting how people differ in their approaches to trusting others. Some trust people until they’ve shown themselves to be untrustworthy. Others don’t trust anyone until they’ve ‘earned’ trust. Most of us fall somewhere between those extremes.
