Since the people in a position to know the answer either don’t know it or aren’t being forthcoming, I guess we’re free to speculate. I think he ran down to Tijuana to jerk off on gay hookers while smoking meth off a donkey’s mane, but of course that’s just speculation based on what few facts are available (FACT 1: he’s republican; FACT 2: he’s willing to ditch his security detail to keep his whereabouts private; FACT 3: he’s republican).

My guesses-

(1) He’s serving time in some community lock-up for an OUI, writing his version of ‘Mein Kampf’.

(2) Having being treated for something that he doesn’t want made public.

(3) He’s really AWOL and everyone is covering in an attempt to salvage his career.
