I actually know a few of these types. Most of them are harmless, mostly. But what passes for their ideology is ALL plausible deniability for crimes committed or contemplated. They really lack any real political sense or motivation. In this case, robbing “drug dealers” and “illegal aliens” is the way to raise money for a get-rich-quick business based on a movie (seen “Proof of Life”?). In almost all cases, the ideology is a rationalization of the real reason that they own guns: they like (or think they’d like) killing people, but don’t want to feel guilty for it.

In a sense, Wingnutdom is thus quite correct about the non-political, criminal nature of each group or individual that gets caught. They just don’t explain that the MinuteAryans are different only to the extent that they are the low-profit, blue-collar side of the overall criminal enterprise.
