The real story is that a VERY conservative 2012 Presidential contender, sitting US Senator and chairman of the Republicans’ Senate campaign committee used taxpayer/ campaign funds to pay a woman and her husband and son for sex with the woman, and laundered the money through the woman’s family, and the media are more concerned with David Letterman.

I knew John Ensign for many years when he dealt with dogs and cats.
I am 100% sure there is more to this than first impressions and reports.
Remembering the old quote “if it happens in Washington,DC it was No accident”.
Beyond the GOP facade which is not him as he is a very kind person.
He is the type of person that acted out the GOP routine and his subsequent behavior demonstrated severe discord.
My best wishes to him and perhaps this will restart his life, being a pit bull GOP senator is suicide to the body. Cheney’s medical state did not come about by being nice.

I will be curious to find out what the Senator’s monetary limit was: clearly he paid something for the affair by doubling his mistress’s salary and putting the son on the payroll. I wonder what demand the husband made that was too excessive?
