OMG …. woman’s prison put a inmate in an outdoor cage without water & shade for transfer, 4 hours later they found her dead….. this was a couple of weeks ago when we were having all that hot weather…… Never seen a prison warden tap dance so much when asked questions….

Our sustainability group is heading up to Monterey for a day tour of their AG exchange program…they reuse 20 million gallons of wastwater for edible crops. It has reversed the saltwater intrusion of their drinking water aquifer. We would like to do that with our million gallons a day tertiary treated effluent.

One sis and her family gets a cabin right on the lake. I”ll be staying in the other sis’ motor home. Swimming, fishing, eating , drinking, guitars, singing. We’ve been going up there since I got to California in 82. Just gorgeous.

Mt. Shasta is a very spiritual and powerful place.

i spent a week on a houseboat on shasta the summer of 88 – loved it. the only radio station we could get on the boat was an oldies station. i gained 10lbs on that trip (laughing) – did nothing but sit around and fish and eat and fish and eat.

Houseboats are great. We took one for the day and pretty much followed the same ritual. Not a care in the world…

Did you make it into the book store in the town of Shasta? That is the coolest, funkiest, strangest store I’ve been in. And the cloud formations over the mountain are other worldly.

nope never made it into town. spent the week cruising on the lake and tied up in coves at night. turned in the boat and drove back to reality in the bay area.

and yeah, the clouds over shasta forking rock.

gotta hit the book store next time. A book will throw itself at you and every one I read was spell-binding. There’s a ton of strange happenings in and around that mountain. Alot of knowledge to be gained.

shasta is still considered sacred by many.
