  • Obama: "shocked and saddened."
  • Sounds like a leftist to me: shooter feared "black governors."
  • Remembering "Big John."
  • Naturally, it’s the Muslims’ fault.
  • More on von Brunn.
  • Glenn Beck: shooter not a right-winger.

We need to waterboard Glenn Beck to find out what he knows after he said this:

“Beck: What they’re missing is: The pot in America is boiling. And this is just yet another warning to all Americans of things to come.”

The right wing extremists are saying von Brunn was a lefty because he didn’t believe the official story of 9/11/01. Well, jerks, there were lots of republicans who didn’t believe the official story spewed by Bush & Cheney and in fact….many of them detested Bush & Cheney for a lot more reasons than that! This is why McCain got his ass kicked in the last presidential election!

Von Brunn was the typical WHITE right wing extremist that the Department of Homeland Security was talking about. Hell, even the Bush Regime first publicized the report near the election, because they too understood that the hateful racist bigots were getting antsy!

During our rallies a few years ago we had a number of conspiracy folks there who were more interested in browbeating others to their point of view but I’d not call them lefties. SPFP has a lot of lefties but these folks were more into bashing government than anything else. They really didn’t have any sort of political philosophy. We got all the conspiracy DVDs for free, though.

Beck is an absolute loon. Saw a few seconds of Coulter on Hannity last night. She and Sean are aghast at Letterman’s joke about Palin looking like a slutty flight attendant. All this indignation from a woman who called John Edwards a faggot. Puh-leeeeze.

Interesting confession: “It got shelved until today; Susan and I read it.”

Why did it get shelved when it was released? This shows the weird world of journalistic priorities. The controversy was covered without reference to what the report actually said.

This makes no sense…..

‘For 15 years, scientists have benefited from data gleaned by U.S. classified satellites of natural fireball events in Earth’s atmosphere – but no longer.

A recent U.S. military policy decision now explicitly states that observations by hush-hush government spacecraft of incoming bolides and fireballs are classified secret and are not to be released, SPACE.com has learned.

The satellites’ main objectives include detecting nuclear bomb tests, and their characterizations of asteroids and lesser meteoroids as they crash through the atmosphere has been a byproduct data bonanza for scientists.

The upshot: Space rocks that explode in the atmosphere are now classified.

“It’s baffling to us why this would suddenly change,” said one scientist familiar with the work. “It’s unfortunate because there was this great synergy…a very good cooperative arrangement. Systems were put into dual-use mode where a lot of science was getting done that couldn’t be done any other way. It’s a regrettable change in policy.”‘

St Pete For Peace. Founded in 2002 from peace vigils organized by the local chapter of the Society of Friends (Quakers). Rumoured to have driven Mel Sembler’s crown jewel in St Pete, BayWalk, into foreclosure. The first court appointed manager of the complex has been accused of embezzling almost $200K from a former employeer. He committed suicide the other day. We’ll prolly get blamed for that too.

Imagine that! Boy did we ever have to deal with those folks at our vigils. It’s always nice to have anti-war folks join rallies but a little of the fringe stuff was over the top. We’d be discussing the war with passers-by and the Ron Paul folks would start shouting about the Federal Reserve and going back to the gold standard.

Here’s my view of Letterman’s comments about Sarah and her daughter:

http://whitenoiseinsanity.com/…..the-media/

Sarah has brought this sort of thing on herself. The A-Rod comment was about how she allowed Bristol & Levi to have unprotected sex in her house resulting in a pregnancy, which to David, this would be the same thing as Bristol having sex with A-Rod while Sarah was in the audience!

Letterman is brilliant. I, for one, cannot dislike the man even after he made these comments. ;-)

I’m sure some of the Maine folks, and others from the north, who visited here in the winter then retired here would be willing to give you some of the sun here. Sometimes I wonder if any of these folks knew what summers were like. They go from their air conditioned condos/homes to their air conditioned car to the air conditioned stores and restaurants. Other than that we don’t see ‘em in the summer.

I don’t know, it seems to me that the AMA, insurance companies, and Republicans are starting to go to the mattresses over a government option because they see it as inevitably ending in a single payer system. It appears that way to me too.

because they see it as inevitably ending in a single payer system. It appears that way to me too.

It appears that way to me three.

I’m gonna guess that at today’s town hall POTUS is gonna get flooded with pleas for single payer and/or public option questions.

And they (Alexrod,Gibbs,etc.) know this.

All part of the “make me do it” strategy, IMHO.

Re: yda’s awful event at the Holocaust Museum, I read somewhere that that kooks soc sec benefits were cut; I had no idea soc sec ever cut benefits to someone that old other than for earning too much money. Anyone else aware of this possibility?

And no, that does not excuse his actions, I was just wondering.

There is a dangerous new meme entering our insane national discourse:

The Obama administration, because of its stand on settlements, is “anti-Israel”. No matter that Obama has made his commitment crystal clear.

CBS News last night broadcast some Israeli whackjob named Herbst saying that Obama is the first American President in “60 years” not to “support” them. Actually, Papa Bush was pretty hard-nosed about settlements, too.

I see the signs on synagogues in my CT hometown with the message “Support Israel”. i.e. “Oppose Obama”.

The real problem here is Obama’s statement of non-belligerence towards the Muslims, and the paranoia and hysteria of some Jews.
