Ian you are a nobody. So what you think doesn’t matter much to me personally. But I back down to no one in defending my political beliefs . . . boy.

I am a true liberal and progressive, not a feeble minded fraud like you. I am also very much for freedom of speech and the FOIA. But there are no absolutes are they? You cannot scream fire in a movie theater, that restriction has been deemed not to be a violation of free speech rights.

In my opinion the same thing applies to the FOIA which is a law with nowhere near the status of freedom of speech. In my opinion you have no right to release photos which will only serve to put soldiers and diplomats lives in danger, to recruit terrorists and further inflame anti-American hatred.

You just said who you are, son. You’re not for freedom of speech and you’re not for the FOIA. You’re not a liberal or a progressive, and you don’t believe in transparency or honesty. That’s fine, but you won’t find many people here who think that torture is something you should move on from. 70% of Americans supported Bush at one point. Were they right?

If you have principles, stick to them. But your arguments indicate that if you have principles, they don’t include free speech or the rule of law or making sure torturers face justice.
