Yea! Summer must be here.
Lucy was a pioneer, she was the first to discuss pregnancy in TV, can’t remember if she showed?
Hey Suz!

Going to spend a couple of days at Manzanita this week with my twin sister from Chicago.
Maybe We’ll get down to your part of the beach. :-)
Darlings. I must go. The puppins need some dindin. Taataa.
today was another drizzly day with off and on showers. drove into portland/vancouver area today and it was the same there. still, folks were fishing and boating on the river.
hey starbuck – if ya click on my name, it will take ya to my blog and my profile has a link for email. shoot me off an email and lets see if we can coordinate a meet up.
g’nite mary
Beautiful weekend, temps and sun just fabulous. Little shopping, lots of reading on the screen-in back porch. Tea breaks and silent study for book talk on Wednesday (Rembrandt).
Dwight Yoakam!
that sounds lovely ce – just lovely
dwight! hey that guy – you know i love that man in tight pants
OMG the guy who shot Dr Tiller told the AP that to expect more deaths all across the country if abortions don’t stop…..
i heard about that katy – he fucking called the ap to whine about his food and how he was treated like a criminal. and to make vague threats.
guess he figured he was not getting as much attention as he should.
Done!
replied!
shit i can’t remember if there are hearings this week. it’s like my brain has gone into politics meltdown. i know the supplemental thingie is happening this week but can’t remember what else.
this getting old shit sucks.
Hey Suzanne,
What’s with the “View this users Facebook profile Suzanne” on your FDL title?
Ah, a screened porch would be wonderful.
Hi Chris, Suz, everyone.
PS Chris at 20, my browser showed that “View this users Facebook profile” one day, and never did again. Don’t know why.
get the feeling the guy thought he would be some hero and glorified from on high for his acts…… what pisses me off is that the locals or the feds DID NOT act on his three days of vandalism which might of saved Dr Tiller’s life…….
it means your page did not load properly – refresh and it be fixed
Thanks for the clip Suzanne, I had forgotten how much I used to enjoy Lucy and friends.
It’s been a long time and yes, she was way ahead of her time.
Aw, man now it is gone.
hey busted – thanks for noticing the video. i love this – the way lucy and ethel were vamping.
Hey Margot,

Naw, not yet!
June 10. I have a book discussion about Rembrandt that day. And Mr.CE has pearls for me…
Morning pups. The Socialists here in Paris are about where the Democrats were in 2002, ‘abattu’ (beaten). To be fair, their people didn’t turn out, but they seem to be suffering from the disease the Dems suffered from before Dean — they supposed that they could coast in on the strength of the Depression and Sarkozy’s unpopularity. Just goes to show that you can’t win an election by default unless you are on the Right.
Very good report on TPM with respect to the public health plan. Nothing we don’t already know, but shows how the debate is going shape up when the President gets into it, as he is evidently planning to do. The Companies are whining that they can’t make a profit if they have to supply inferior service at low prices (as opposed to the advertised superior service at high prices, which is supposed to be the miracle of the market — free choice and all that.
whew – my sisters was today. i texted her at 3am her time to wish her happy bday
hey knut
Maybe you are not treating your body well enough. Maybe you are not feeding yourself “brain food”. Maybe you are over worked and under paid?
maybe all of the above and then some. its been one hella year bb
evening pups
Happy belated b day chris.
nite katy. Gonna clean house tomorrow, inspired by you.
hey sunny
Lucy looks straight out of a nick&nora movie. Love that era — glam!

vamp
Hi CE. What kind of Rembrandt discussion? Love his story. Is it on the toobz or in person?
Today was ECO SUMMIT in Cambria all day. Good guest and topics found at ecoslo.org if you are intersted. Energy, water, food health of the environment, open space AG preservation and tansportation were the main topics..
The drive back down the coast got spectacular as the view opened to Morro Rock and beyond a clear blue sky and sea. I pulled of of Hwy 1 at Cayucos and drove by the beach, girls in bikinis were showering of seawater as the water was warm. Young bucks were sporting their steroid pumped muscles a mini Venice beach scene.
I got back on the HWY and went to Morro Bay and stopped for a expesso on the way home. Then I hit the bay with the scull for a windy row folloed by a shower and veggies. Super day despite no sleep until sunrise. Weird bio-rythms. Deja vu of the beachboys era.
sounds like a lovely day bb – sometimes i get reved up and excited and don’t sleep. bet ya sleep good tonight
Okay. Another day in the books. Have a great week and remember to treat yourselves well.
g’nite bb sleep well
Hey Suz. How was your day trip?
hey emerson – it was good. weather was better on the drive than i thought it would be. too cloudy to see hood nor st helens from the freeway tho.
And what was your driving music?
Suzanne!
Pups!
the rumors of my disappearance from the planet are greatly exaggerated.
just a quick fly-by while I briefly have access to a computer.
got to get some sleep, a lot of work to do tomorrow
how’s everybody been?
neuro!!!
Hey Neuro-are you traveling?
emerson – i was listening to 3 diff portland stations once i got over the coast range summit. hits of the 60’s 70’s 80’s and the third station also included in more recent stuff. was just kinda going with the vibe music wise. heard some old songs i had not heard in a while – peter paul and mary doing i dig rock and roll music, some spoonful. nice driving stuff.
yes, am in CO fulfilling some family obligations
I can see the mountains, but no chance to get up in them
maybe later this week
hows the weather in co neuro? i’ve heard it can (and does) snow in june in the mts there
nite all, maybe I can make another appearance tomorrow nite
sleep well everyone
g’nite neuro – fingers and toes crossed ya can :)
Pretty there. I used to go out with a girl from Boulder, so I made it out there a few times.
Nite neuro
well, we got some hail today, the ground sure looked like snow…
maybe some snow mixed in with the hail, hard to tell
been some very nice days, alternating with some rain
sometimes the weather changes hour to hour
nite
Sounds great. Good for clearing your head sometimes.
see! (laughing) enjoy the time with family neuro
sometimess when i drive it is all about the music. today was more leisurely go with the flow. a drive with more time that i should admit with stolen glances out the side windows while driving. the wilson river while going east up the range – gale creek on the other side of the summit – then all the creeks feeding into the watershed. looking for boats on the columbia – trying to sneak a peak at waterfront park where fleet week is going on – touristy stolen glances :)
I know that feeling. You get in the zone and suddenly see things you normally miss. And no clocks-that’s the best part.
well i did have to be back in time for dinner and to get this post ready. tomorrow is my no clocks day but its gonna be spent doing grocery shoppiing – tis that time of the month to stock up again.
Well, you’re probably tired and it might be a good idea for me to get some sleep. Talk with you soon. G’nite!
g’nite emerson – gonna head out in a bit. am almost caught up with the day’s email and lake posts.
ok pups, time for me to head out. g’nite all and thanks for letting me hang out with ya tonight.
Boy! Does this Lucy clip bring back memories! Thanks for having it up, for us “old timers.”
Suzanne, I am still grateful for your finding that DVD for me — of the old cartoons. I keep trying to get here in time to say HI to you — so far, no luck!
Morning. I guess I’m the first up today. BFL, sorry about the game, guess you had a late night (and may never see this message).
N.Korea sentenced the 2 reporters to 12yrs in labor camp. My heart is breaking.
Good morning, pups. It’s Cohen and Krugman today. Mr. Cohen, in “Ask Not for a Great Line,” says President Obama’s rhetorical groundwork must now be matched with street-smart cunning. Mr. Krugman is in London. In “Gordon the Unlucky” he says while Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Britain may deserve to be punished for the economic crisis, his opponents don’t deserve to be rewarded.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and the biscuits are out of the oven. I’m hoping that this week will be more productive than last week, which was filled with interruptions and a sense of frustration. Have a great day.
Mornin’, pups -
Is Attaturk on holiday this week?
It would appear so. I guess we’ll have to step up the snark level a bit in comments!
hey shell – glad you are enjoying it
i do check comments on my threads after i get up – sorry we missed hooking up on this thread. fingers and toes crossed we are on the same thread at the same time soon.
