We cannot predict that and even if we could, would you demand that Roeder’s mother have aborted him while she was pregnant? Or Hitler’s? The women who went to Dr. Tiller and the 2 other doctors willing and competent to provide this medical procedure were facing a horrible reality. They did not wish to terminate a pregnancy but found themselves unable to bring a much-desired life to term. I cannot imagine their pain (and that of the fathers.) For some, the service that Dr. Tiller provided was the only reason that they were subsequently able to bear children.
