After the assassination of Dr. Tiller in Kansas, the wingosphere admonished us not to "politicize" the killing, and that doing so would "collectivize" the shooter’s guilt and "smear the entire conservative movement." After all, Dr. Tiller’s murder was just an "isolated incident" — "kooks happen" — so it’s deeply unfair, they argued, to point fingers at anyone but the killer himself. Most importantly, they noted, jumping to score political points while the Tiller’s family was still grieving is crass, uncivil, beyond the pale.
That was then.
. . . isn’t the peace movement responsible for the shootings at the recruiting station?
I wonder if the Justice Department will send marshals to beef up protection at recruiting centers — especially given the past targeting of military centers on campuses and elsewhere across the country.
It seems like it was just within the past few weeks—because it was—that another group of African-American Muslim converts attempted to carry out terrorist attacks against American citizens.
Don’t bet Abdul Hakim wasn’t part of a "broader scheme." The fact is that the antiwar left has been targeting military recruiting stations for years.
So why did all of those rules governing discourse about terrorist attacks change? RedState explains it.
Tiller’s murderer, though a cold-blooded killer, is not a terrorist of the kind that the United States has been fighting since the September 11th attacks.
See? Tiller’s assassin was a right-wing, white Christian and the Arkansas killer is a black Muslim.
Makes all the difference.

Imagine for a moment if this shooter had the telephone number of a prominent MoveOn.org official on his dashboard when arrested…
Ah, good, it’s the KIND of terrorist that’s important. Good to know, wingnuts.
If that were the case, I’m sure Move.On would already be shut down.
JHFC, I never thought I’d find myself writing this: The stupid. It burns.
I wonder if Scott Roeder can get a fair trial in Kansas? IOW, will a jury of his peers acquit him despite overwhelming evidence of guilt?
“Tiller’s murderer, though a cold-blooded killer, is not a terrorist of the kind that the United States has been fighting since the September 11th attacks.”
Actually.. the similarities are quite astounding. Like AQ ‘rrists, they operate in small cells or in collections of lone gunmen sharing common interests, who get incited, motivated and instructed (in everything from ideology to attack logistics) by more-or-less anonymous websites (on which they actually post videotapes of some of their atrocities), their actions are sanctioned by incendiary, militant clerics who otherwise keep their hands clean, their motivation is religious, as opposed to territorial or tribal separatism, they communicate in arcane codes, they use technology to communicate, they are mysogenists.. and I’m just getting started.
By the way, KOS was reporting that some freepers have started a defense fund for the terrorist. I haven’t yet summoned up the courage to venture over there to check it out though… in terms of oppositional reasearch, I draw the line at having to read the freep-blog. It makes me want to go hide under a rock.
Muslim shooter = Terrorist. Christian shooter = Not terrorist.
They’re not “similar” — they’re exactly the same.
We convicted 2 here in FL, which blew my mind. Paul Hill was executed and the other killer is doing life without parole. Hill used a shotgun to kill Dr Bennett and his escort and seriously wounded the doctor’s wife as they were getting out of a vehicle.
That’s it.
A convert to Islam no less.
And black. Don’t forget black.
Damn, the uberreichwingnuts are gonna be doin’ such a Whirling Dervish that they’ll spin themselves into waffle batter…or some kinda goo on the floor.
Or for the freeper – Muslim = Terrorist. Christian = Martyer.
Where would the wingnuts be with out false equivalency? There is a history of killers targeting abortion providers. If there was a sudden rash of violence targeting military recruiters I’m fairly confident Holder would authorize U.S. marshals to protect them.
If that were possible it probably would have happened before now. Hope springs eternal, though.
I think the military would prefer to make their own arrangements.
Back to the cesspool.
Namaste
wasn’t there the case of the three mentally-challenged Albanians who decided to attack a military base in NJ in broad daylight, with side-arms and a shotgun?
Ot and oh my
Minnesota Governor Will Not Seek Reelection
This is not the kind of terrorist we have been fighting since September 11th principally because we have not been fighting terrorists since September 11th. We have been fighting insurgents on their home turf.
A very different sort of fight.
Granted, the initial focus on routing the Taliban AlQ enablers in Afghanistan had some semblence of fighting terrorists, but nothing in Iraq has had anything to do with September 11th except the opposition’s adoption of the AlQ moniker as a recruitment tool.
Especially if the Peace Movement controlled a major TV “news” channel and had spokes-bots on the radio/TV airwaves for hours and hours every single day calling the recruiters murderers, etc.
Just when I think the RW lunatics can’t get any more dishonest…
Wow. Just, wow.

and the ones who thought lighting a jet-fuel pipeline with a match, 30 miles away, would blow up the airport? Or were those scary brown people.
So much wing-nuttery, it’s hard to keep track without a scorecard.

Would it have caused Wingnut Mental Overload if Roeder had been found with a Koran on the dashboard?
The right still does not admit that McVeigh was a “domestic terrorist”, hangs onto the idea that the whackos who inhabit the fringes of society in “hate government land” (where Roeder seemed to hold a passport and full residency) are in no way “terrorists” because they are white and some sort of “christian”. It’s their inability to understand that terrorists do not have to look like ObL and wear turbans to be a threat that I don’t understand. Their biggest regret was not that McVeigh was a terrorist, but that he blew up a daycare center.
Apparently Obama chose to not promulgate a report by DHS that named the wingnut-pro-life movement as terrorists, because well gee, they’d never commit acts of violence. Right?
Put everything in teh “stupid” column.
I think that’s
“Teh Stooooopid”
But, yeah. That’s why saying “foiling” such “plots” “Kept America Safe (TM)” is so patently ridiculous.
Teh Stooooopid. Yeh, indeedy.
Funny Wheelie Diva
Remember the domestic terrorist who fired a rifle through a hole concealed in the trunk of his Chevy? IIRC, he committed random serial killings with his young son as accomplice around the DC/Virginia area.
IIRC, it was discovered that he was a Muslim. Upon that discovery, the media began describing the man as a terrorist.
So, according to right-wing (mainstream) protocol – if a murderous domestic wacko is a Muslim, then, and only then, shall he be deemed a terrorist.
The mind boggles.
Both incidents were sectarian terrorism, driven by a right wing theocratic political agenda. The only difference is what “kind” of theocratic political agenda. I would imagine the far (neo-nazi) right would welcome both kinds of violence. The left on the other hand, have neither nothing to do with nor would support any such actions as part of their secular driven ideology.
AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND…
Citizen Blue Texan and the Firepup Freedom Fighters:
Anyone know if Kansas has the death penalty? And how about RICO charges against any and all the anti-abortion terrosist groups he belonged to or was in any way assocaited with that I’m sure are registered as not-for profits?
The fascist true believers are goin’ all in now, they don’t believe Obama has the stones to bring ‘em down…this may be the beginnin’ of the fascist “days of rage” that will once and for all terrorize their sorry asses right out of the game.
KEEP THE FAITH AND PASS THE AMMUNITION, THESE BASTARDS DON’T KNOW WHAT WAR IS, LET’S SHOW ‘EM!!
Around 300 AD, Roman Emperor Constantine knew the power Christianity would be as a recruitment tool. He got men motivated as Christian Warriors fighting for God (and country). Bush was doing it til last January 20 and Obama is still doing it today.
Consider not just the mental disparity of christianists versus islamists but also the federal budgetary differences as well.
The Newburgh Four kept 100 FBI agents busy for over a year according to the Times of London and the alleged perps were nothing more than a dope smoking fool, a medicated schitzophrenic, a documented borderline retard and a guy trying to make quick cash for his brother’s life saving liver operation. But they were black and muslim.
How much money did the FBI spend to monitor these anti-abortion ex-cons with years of violence behind them?
Payscale.com has the average FBI agent’s salary as $81k per year. Did we the taxpayers of America spend anywhere near $8 million plus overhead and benefits to stop these real terrorists instead of manufacturing a media sensation?
actually, I personally thought it was worse than that. I remember after the OK City bombings when the MSM actually expressed relief that early reports that Islamists were involved were untrue and that, therefore, the attack was not, in fact, terrorism. A building was reduced to a pile of rubble with hundreds inside and, in their eyes, it still was not terrorism because the people who blew it up weren’t brown and wearing turbans. Terror has a situational definition, apparently.
Wait …
Isn’t killing someone because they provide abortions a political act – one that would in itself politicize the act.

I bet this “Muslim” guy was a right wing christian before he converted? Why? Because HE KILLED SOME PEOPLE. Muslims don’t kill people….only the terrorists do, so to me….his conversion to Islam was just a farce.
