If It Sounds Too Good for the Goss, It’s Worth a Second Gander

By: emptywheel Monday May 4, 2009 11:59 am

Something stinks about Porter Goss’ claim to have stood against torture in December 2005: Robert Grenier, head of Counterterrorism, was fired a month later for being insufficiently pro-torture.

Republicans Launch Multiple Rebranding Efforts Led by Same Unpopular People and Ideas that Keep Losing Elections

By: Blue Texan Monday May 4, 2009 10:30 am

After four months of Republicans calling Obama every name in the book and less than a few weeks removed from the National Day of Teabagging That Would Change Everything, Obama is still hugely popular. Plastic People: Frank, Pelosi Don’t Want Credit Card Interest Rates Capped

By: Jane Hamsher Monday May 4, 2009 9:40 am

Someone who is smeared by those two groups immediately has their credibility enhanced. Don’t you have Barack Obama’s birth certificate to hunt down and Hillary Clinton’s sex life to sniff around in?”
