Malo – Suavecito (June 21, 1972). This song always makes me think of warm summer evenings. What’s your summer song? What’s on your mind tonight?

Pelosi Torture Briefing: Joe Miller of FactCheck.Org Got Played for a Fool |
| By: emptywheel Thursday May 21, 2009 7:00 pm |
You’d think after Porter Goss once again failed to refute Nancy Pelosi’s central assertion, “Fact Check” organizations would get the hint.
But no–they’re still out there refuting themselves!!
Here are the details that FactCheck.Org uses to claim that,
So we’re left with Democrats offering one (not always entirely accurate) story and the CIA and some Republicans offering a different (and, again, not always entirely accurate) story.

| By: Phoenix Woman Thursday May 21, 2009 12:31 pm |
NYT article by Elizabeth Bumiller: “1 out of 7 freed detainees rejoins fight, report finds”. Assuming that stats taken from unnamed sources and which reek of bogosity can be trusted, guess what? It’s a rate that’s far, far less than the rate of US prisoners in general, as even Bumiller admits:
“Terrorism experts said a 14 percent recidivism rate was far lower than the rate for prisoners in the United States, which, they said, can run as high as 68 percent three years after release.”
