We need more coverage on that quote a few GOP glass ceiling for women articles would help drop the GOP even lower among women who otherwise might not read an article about the Supreme Court or Hispanics.
But an article about why Women get paid less then Men? An article about why women don’t get promoted like men? Such an article will find a larger audience.

Very accurate observation. Even some acknowledged “liberal” commentators, like Maddow and Olberman, have adopted this trait. I have turned the volume off several times lately on KO because he insists on criticizing Rethug talking points endlessly. In his defensive critiques, he gives the stupid rethugs (pardon the redundancy) even more publicity. Dems need more offense and more real news. Lately, Rachel has been echoing the same rethug garbage. It is a waste of the airwaves and deprives the choir of real melody for dem accomplishments, history, or common purpose. We need more Amy Goodman type news. She is still the ONLY real journalist on TV.

I want to hear how much oil we would save if ever new car sold in America was a hybrid. Remember Obama was talking about giving the car makers cash to retool their plants. I was hoping that the cash would go to making every car truck etc a hybrid.
Tax incentives and the cost savings of making every car a hybrid would help lower costs.
Why can’t we get our ideas on the air?

Until the tv programs get real progressives such as Jane or Christie or Marcy or some of the various men and women that post here and elsewhere, we are going to see the “liberals” that back off from the big rethugs when confronted face to face. So the Project Better Place formula for success so far seems to be to get the attention of a power company to provide the network, and secure the tax breaks that will make electric vehicles a compelling proposition compared to petrol. This may not play so well in countries that don’t already tax motor vehicles heavily, and/or that have a substantial auto manufacturing industry.

The Denmark infrastructure will consist of approximately 500,000 charging spots and 150 battery swap stations, allowing vehicles to be charged overnight, and the swap stations to be used as a gas station equivalent for longer journeys. Agassi sees it as vital that using an electric vehicle is at least as convenient as using a petrol driven one, so the battery swap should take no longer than it would to fill a tank of petrol – but he claims 20 seconds is do-able.

My bold So $20,000 for an electric car plus by swapping the batteries something the Volt can’t do Obama should talk to GM about that.
In the same amount of time it takes to fill up a car tank rather than charging the car overnight.

Back to the positive arguments instead of the defensive screed, please. Why do we want a woman on SCOTUS? Why do we want a black on SCOTUS? Why do we want blacks, whites, latinos, Jews, Muslims, Catholics, etc, on juries, school boards, in Congress? For life experience. For perspective. For the other point of view. For what the old white protestant has “conveniently” forgotten. Why do we have nine justices on SCOTUS, 3 judges on circuit courts, etc. Because the law is often unclear. If the law and the Constitution were so clear, it would be sufficient to have one judge and one interpretation. If the law were so clear, we would not even need to “interpret” it. The very word itself, so ubiquitous, commands diversity of perspective.
