I will never understand the rationale behind attacking empathy, but then again, I have a conscience.

Liddy is despicable, always has been, always will be. But why do we know and recall his name (and Ollie North’s) from Republican scandals (Watergate and Iran Contra) and not the people who brought them down? Because they made a great living from being ‘media stars’. This is Liddy trying to get more listeners.

But with Sotomayor 55 years old, one wonders how even this lowly worm could imagine the state of her physiology to be that of someone obviously younger?

Aside from the bitch and PMS labels, which are the territory of immature boys who are scared of women, I have a problem with the depiction of Sotomayor as not white. In biology there are 3 “races” of humans: caucasian, negroid and mongoloid. Since Hispanics are neither negroid or mongoloid they must be considered caucasian, otherwise known as white. I don’t like all of these descriptors anyway as we are all the “human” race to me and as things are going we are all going to be bi-racial and a lovely shade of cafe au lait in 200 years anyway. At any rate this really should not be anything to argue over in 2009. I think the real issue that the right has is that she is a strong woman taking a job away that “should” be a man’s.
