Soooo, if GM goes into Chap 11 what do the bondholders get? A sack o’ shit that they can call equity, I hope?

Scott Wheeler speaks for the American people? How is it that these uberreichwingnuts all claim to speak for Americans they despise?

Gee, I’m just full o’ questions this mornin’.

lizzie said–ask white house if a family member were in danger would they use waterboarding?

ummmm, i would compare that to someone with 1000bucks in their wallet and weighs 300 pounds shoplifting food and saying, would you prosecute someone homeless and who is starving? has nothing to do with their thievery.

um, liz, they waterboarded to elicit false information about a false threat. answer that one…illegally. and lied about it…illegally.

they stole a candy bar with money in their fat pockets.

greta and gonzo on after the commercial….i’m gonna be late for my appt….they’ll understand…really.

From NYT today:

Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s judicial opinions are marked by diligence, depth and unflashy competence. If they are not always a pleasure to read, they are usually models of modern judicial craftsmanship, which prizes careful attention to the facts in the record and a methodical application of layers of legal principles.

It’s going to be interesting seeing the anti-intellectuals deal with Judge Sotomayor’s record.

Morning all.
SD. That will be relatively easy for them to do since they do not have to deal with facts.

The NYT article is an example. What it gives with one hand it takes away with the other. Guess I’m gonna hafta look up the New Haven firefighter case to see what the noise is about. I vaguely remember hearing the decision but didn’t pay much attention.

Good morning. I just had 2 turkeys in my driveway. They were going to cross the road, but it’s pretty busy and after some consideration, they decided to mosey to the back 40.

Yes, but they’re the first genuinely wild ones to appear on my driveway, to my knowledge. There have been plenty of metaphorically wild turkeys on my driveway, including me.

In my experience the turkeys would just get out in the middle of the road, then try to figure out what to do.

democracynow is doing a long segment on Sotomayor. One of the guests was on a Board of a P.R. org with her. Amy asked him if he knew what her opinion was on the status of P.R. The guest said that was not discussed because it was such a “volatile” subject. Interesting that subject is taboo.

Mornin’ All,

the noise is all about them waving a bloody shirt and raising more cheddar over yet more oppressed white boys – the other appellate judges concurred, and the decision was well within New Haven and CT settled law – none of the judges, least of all Sotomayor was freestylin’ here -

Turkeys are supposed to be stupid. But these 2 behaved sensibly.

Deer on the other hand often think they can outrun cars. This is the first spring in a long time that I haven’t had a carcase or two on the embankment.

Mornin’, gang -

I caught part of that Ed/wheeler business on the idiot box yesterday and thought Ed seemed reasonably well prepared to counter his spew. First time I recall seeing the guy and he is the personification of everything that’s horrible about gooper rhetoric.

Off for a doctor’s appointment and check-in with the car place to try to figure out what is causing some noise never heard before which is likely to put a major crimp in travel plans. What a great way to spend the day…….not. Catch up with y’all later.

Good Morning everyone.
I had to put on my glasses to really see if this story was true, Sarah Palin in a mini skirt at a Memorial Day ceremony, and Shannyn Moore comments..

I read often on my back porch, which has no view of the road. However, I now know all the road sounds, like the difference between school buses and construction trucks. A couple of toots on the horn indicates a deer crossing the road.
