This is weird and cool!
Howdy ES
ES!
Good evening..)
Hey Pups,
Lovely weekend!
heya ND and chris
was a calm and uneventful weekend here
Feels like Sunday to me.
i’m all tuckered out from a whole lotta garden planting, it’s finally warm enough here in the great Upper Midwest.
Quiet, balmy, and so green. Hours of reading on the porch and late morning breezes. Just wonderful weather and no obligations. Just me and Mr. CE.
And, and, we had hot dogs for dinner (good gracious, don’t tell anyone since I gave them up years ago…). But with Belgian beer!
Hi everyone.
I asked the person who was out watering the plants at Kmart if she had any that smell like lemons, and she pointed me to the lemon balm. Yay! And I got a great big tall tomato plant with flowers on it. We will have tomatoes this year.
You guys are all tuckered, but never rest: Lizard Cheney *MadDog*.
Well, how very dreamy! All the best to you and Mr. CE, Christine.
Hey Margot,
Two cherry tomato plants thriving. Three basil plant already providing enough for pesto. Tonight tomato salad with basil, goat cheese, and lemon olive oil. With hot dogs!
Well thanks Loo Hoo! Also grass cutting and house scraping and painting…miss that teenage labor.
It rained most of the weekend here.. a lovely cool rain. Cool for the last week of May. It’s a great Spring when we have not turned on our air conditioners a time or two by mid May. This year has hardly reached a high of 80.
Anyway.. I have not mowed my country yard this year.. it’s a jungle… filled with wild flowers and critters of every kind. I’m loving it.
Say it ain’t so, Loo (Hoo). Say it ain’t so!
*stocks up on crucifixes*
Yep. I know what you mean!
Nighters.
Hey ES.
Gotta go to That Place again in the morning so this is a fly by.
Gnite y’all, hope ya had a good weekend.
Ain’t it the truth. The thought crossed my mind that she might be interested in office as I watched her spew, but the actual thought….. OMG.
Hey busted… good to hear from you, even in mid flight. *s*
Good night all — reference duty calls.
nite chris
Good night, CE.
Nite Chris
hey margot. nice to bump into you
Today I lectured at farmers market on peace vs war sorta…most of the vets agree. I had expesso on the veranda of the Copa de Oro coffee shop overlooking the farmer’s market. One vet guy I know said they spit on him when cane back from Nam and then gave me the “Skin handshake (which I was unable to master). The young owner and his wife are vegetarian…so I have acquired an allie to conspire up dishes with. Pure fun. Then I went for a row over to the sand spit abd on the way back met a young man from Sweden with a young woman from Norway where they get 5 weeks of vacation…and thay did not let folks fuck up their economy. They took a bunch of pictures of me and my boat and some with them and me and by boat…delightful but off they went on their American adventure with picturesof a 72 year old peacnik and his peace hat with Live in Peace symbol and lil American flag that says “I voted”. Little relaxing for the muscles and surfing the net and reading more about the collapse of Enron. My neighbor friend is very patriotic and does not think much of my peaceful ways “Tant Pis” pass the french fries.
For $11 US dollars I got enough veggies along with my garden for another week. Eating less digesting more.
Like Ringo how’s ya’all ta night? Vailar Vailar
One of my friends said she went to the Blues festival in Santa Cruz heard no less than BB King, Leon Russell and Joe Cocker and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band rockin out.
She is a French lady and she books small venue musicians like Paris street music…said it was quite crowded…ah living vicariously.
Is the thread dead?
Sounds like a perfect day, bb.
hey bb
just waiting for the democracy-hangover to arrive
I think it is.. I know I am unusually tired tonight.. Guess it’s the humidity, the running river and our calm lake.
hey
the thread may be dead, but I’m not…
neuro
whadayadoin?
Did you see the one person moon the camera in the video tonight?? I missed it the first viewing.
If your not dead…

Hi neuro whar democracy hangover Newt
Hi Newton, I got distracted there for a while…
bb, she heard Joe Cocker? I just love him.
Holiday passed, reality has set in (Republic in crisis despite election of Democrat to Presidency), Tuesday we might want to pick a higher gear and forget about taking names.
We knew this work lay in front of us, and it’s time to leave November behind. IOW, make it more dangerous for Congress and the President to ignore us than their financial benefactors, what ever it takes.
Lead follow or get the hell out of the way.
Really not a bad day…the tidw was coming in late in the afternoon and I kearned a bit about the Stiener method of farming during the FDL lull.
Sleep peacefilly ES and wake up “To a Brand New Day”.
Time to gather together international allies to press peace and precipitate chang we can believe in.
Thank you, bb.. I think I will. Hope to see you all tomorrow night or sometime soon.
Good night firedogs.
nite ES

Howdy, y’all!
We have our own way of celebrating Memorial Day here in Hawaii. It’s called
Lantern Floating. Thousands were down on the beach before sunset tonight. There were at least 3 huge 30-foot high movie screens showing the live action. Its a Japanese tradition. check it out.
However you celebrated it, I hope it was good.
Bob in HI
Nice Bob a real turn on (the Lights)…thank you muchly… i was stationed in Kaneohe Bay 1956 was I lucky!
Attaturk is upstairs!
Oh, that’s far too much charisma in one candidate
Little late to the thread but loved the video, as it reminded me of 2002-2004. You see, on the left of the video, behind that wall, is an apartment building where I lived for 2 glorious years. let me tell you, it is a pain in the ass having all those people take photos in the middle of the street, but also quite interesting. Nothing like being awakened at 3 am by drunken Asian tourists singing Beatles songs. (On the other hand, nothing makes you wish someones accent wasn’t so recognizable as when hearing drunk American college students singing “You can’t always get what you want” in the cross-walk at 3 am either.) Great area, and fond memories as I wooed my now wife there.
