Do what you need to do for your own peace of mind, but this place would not be the same without you. Yes, lots of strong feelings float and zing around here, launched by an astonishing abundance of hefty resumes. I’d be clobbered rather promptly by – no, not trolls – but, yes, some unfailingly negative scolds who maintain a scorched policy on some subjects, a few seemingly on ANY subject at all. That sort of thing is not necessary, imo, but it’s a style some prefer. So I find myself avoiding threads they seek, and refraining from addressing certain topics if they’re within stone’s throw. A few times I just couldn’t resist and did the unthinkable – confession – I teased some, on purpose (not alldedamtime, just a little). That’s the ghastly truth of the matter, and no, it did not go over well atall atall. still, it was fun at the time, and my heart kept beating in my chest.

P.E.A.C.E. and independence, dear lady. If you do take a break, please come back soon. You will be missed. The orchestra at the Lake would get pretty boring in a hurry if they only play on one sour string. We need everything from the bass fiddle to the piccolo, and that’s the truth. ;->

i didn’t read it, so, cna’t say…but i don’t get the drama the day after.

’someone’ once told me, ‘it’s just a blog’….that helped me in many ways…some days you’re invested and some you’re not.

i’ve had my scrapes here, there are a few that STILL take what i say completely wrong-because of past ‘rifts’ they formed a perception and are stickin’ to it, and i will be taken incorrectly in the future, i’m sure. i have incorrectly done the same.

like anywhere, you stick your neck out, it can get chopped or caressed. or ignored. throw a bunch of opinionated humans into a room, armed with their own ways, own problems and own agendas and it’s gonna get ‘tight’ sometimes.

and when you try to make people ‘behave’ you’re volunteering to get hit when the one you are defending ‘ducks’ right when the punch lands..that’s been my experience anyway. i only had to learn that one a few times. ha.

chin up, it’s not just the lake, you’re lookin’ through a different lens right now, cuz of the loss of your friend..makes things amplify.

hang in..’plant your flower’ and play your song over and over, always helps me ‘reset’ my meter….

Yes, I’m ok, but am considering stepping away from this place for a while. Just too negative sometimes and, well, I don’t want people to think I’m kicking and shoving when all I did was support another commenter’s perception. How is it right that one person wants to be defended, but another person doesn’t get to be supported? No, it might be good for my heart and my blood pressure to take a time out.
