Jack Welch is complaining about the Chrysler deal never mind all the banks that have gone under GM and his own GE stock which in the boom times when he was in charge always magically made their numbers.
Chrysler the 1/2 as EW calls them of the big 3 2 and 1/2.
I think Jack invested in Chrysler maybe through a hedge fund.

Bob Lutz, paid a 10 percent penalty to sell all of the GM shares he had held in a deferred compensation account, the company said in a securities filing on Wednesday.

The stock sales netted $141,986 for Lutz, who is now an adviser to the embattled automaker, according to the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Earlier this month Lutz sold all of his direct holdings in GM for $130,989.

A year ago, those two categories of GM stock holdings for Lutz would have been worth over $5 million.

Maxium Bob the guy who thought GM was in trouble because they were not making enough sports cars is getting his like Jack Welch.
Bob is famous for putting out the story that Toyota in his estimation was subsidizing the price of every hybrid Prius.
The Prius sold over a million cars recently at lets say $100 subsidy to a car that would be $100 million dollars.
No word from Bob about the tax break after 9/11 to buy gas guzzlers like the Hummer which only increased our use of oil during a war for oil.
Remember every Dollar you spend on gas is a Dollar for Ossama.

Especially since Ross never talked to the Palestinians…at least not civilly. I bet that Israeli speech total is much higher than reported.

WASHINGTON – President Obama told human rights advocates at the White House on Wednesday that he was mulling the need for a “preventive detention” system that would establish a legal basis for the United States to incarcerate terrorism suspects who are deemed a threat to national security but cannot be tried, two participants in the private session said.

US men charged over synagogue plot

The US authorities have arrested four men over a suspected plot to bomb Jewish targets in New York and to shoot down military aircraft with shoulder-fired missiles.

The FBI detained the men on Wednesday night on charges of plotting “to detonate explosives near a synagogue” in the Riverdale section of New York’s Bronx area.

The men were also charged with plotting to shoot military aircraft located at New York’s Air National Guard base at Stewart airport in the town of Newburgh, with Stinger surface-to-air missiles, a joint statement from law enforcement officials said.

The four were identified as James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen, all New York residents.

Lets see… pressure from the known criminal failures… or pressure from the folks who have always been correct and had respect for the constitution, its treaties, and the rule of law.

From what I’ve heard (thinking back to when it was first filed), is the case isn’t a strong one, for whatever legalese reasons. ‘Twas a long shot in the dark from the get go.

By the date, it was exactly a month after the murder of JFK. I believe that could have something to do with the content and timing of this quote.

Where’s he getting his counsel from? Some of his appointments could have been made by McCain. On Democracy Now today, Amy had Sands and Mayer on. Re the backing down on release of (thousands of )photos, Mayer says that is something that needs to be looked at more closely. Said the abuses came under the jurisdiction of Gen. Odierno, the same guy telling Obama it would be a natl. security threat to release them. Wanted to ask Marcy about that.
