Y’know, I watched clips of Cheney on Rachel last night and for the FIRST time noticed the “Darth” breathing that must have contributed to his nickname. Color me s-l-o-w on the uptake….but I haven’t heard Cheney speak much, I guess.

Someone pointed out that Cheney really resembles another character, I think Darth’s father, better than Darth. I’m not really up on my Star Wars lore. But that breathing….wow!

Harold Ford is one of those conservadems who is scared to death of the republicans, so to make himself feel better, he spends his days agreeing with everything the right wingers have to say in the hopes he can be friends with them and to be part of their clan.

It was much more pronounced in the clip last night. His breathing sounded labored and wheezy. I always assumed it was the “dark lord” association that got him the “Darth” nickname, and that still might be true, but the breathing sure accentuates it.

I loathe Dick Cheney, but I don’t wish him a heart attack and that’s what this sounded like — congestive heart failure or something else catastrophic.

No reason to have Robinson or anyone else with a more progressive viewpoint on other than to claim “fake and balance”. Someone here at the Lake or on another blog made the perfect observation about how scar handles guests with differing opinions and more knowledge than he….can’t remember exactly how it was phrased but spot on.
