dick cheney is back on his torture tour
I wonder when he’s gonna whip is daughter out to tell us how great it is to water board people
I wonder how many people he’s going to admit died on the water board and I wonder when he’s going to do a hannity and volunteer to have it done to him so he can prove how easy it is to take
this man should be in the hague and these maggots are giving him a forum to undermine our country
dick cheney spent 8 years in office destroying our government, now he figures he can do more of it out of office
G/MORNING ELLIOTT!
g’morning world!
am I the only firedog up yet?
Morning all, Thanks Elliott looks like the usual suspects again and it is drizzly rainy outside.
dick, a man for all treasons.
How does that torture/ murder /treason thingy work?
Is there a formula for how many have to be questioned to death before they discover there was nothing to discover ?
as marcy said, if it’s so effective, why would you need to do it hundreds of times
how the hell does the media get the nerve putting this criminal on the teevee
I am hoping this guy needs to take a flight out of the country sometime, see if another country wants to do obama’s job and get this guy on trial
since most of you are still sleeping I’m going to br’fast, see all in a little bit
Perfect pic choice for the day, Elliott.
Happy Mother’s Day, all you mothers…
Good morning. Here’s what Josh has to say about today’s talking heads:
When you ,if you can, look at dick think how he represents the richest 1% of the population, the war profiteers .
His net worth has been reported to be $100 million. Nice gig if you got the right connections. Was he really a public SERVANT or did he breech the public trust by enriching himself, not to mention the medical care he received at our expense.
Strip him of his wealth and citizenship, after a fair trial of course, though he’s already publicly admitted to War Crimes. Off to Abu Grabh for life w/o parole or pardon.
I hope you DFHs in the Northeast are happy about
the tidal wave of divorces that gay marriage is about to unleash,
as previously happy heterosexual marriages
crumble under the assault.
Yep, I understand the DFHs in the NE have lower divorce rates than the Bible Belt.
Justice here, Justice now.
good morning Vietnam…………..and everywhere else
Cheney seems to be rubbing americas nose in his lawlessness.
this is funny
HAPPY MOTERS DAY

Deep Mother’s Day thoughts from Sally Quinn on Michelle Obama’s arms:
Oddly, the way that I remember it is that in fact most of the complaining came from
out of shape Beltway parasites like Jodi Kantor and Lauren Falcone.
seems so,why doesnt he just go count his money, mebbe they are waiting for him at the borders to do an EICHMAN SNATCH teehee
I was going to say he’s audacious, but diabolical is more fitting.
not really imo, just a crook and mass murderer
oh by the by,loooooooove the photo,i used to raise orphaned baby ducks,Dick Cheneys favorite, target practice iirc
funny how that is…
Happy Mother’s Day to all the FDL Moms & Mr. Moms!
thanks, I love ducks.
How are all your babies?
and Happy Mother’s Day to you, did you get breakfast in bed?
I can’t bear the TV already. Off to have coffee while reading.
Ha ha. You’re cute. I wish. The teenage brat that lives in my house is still sleeping!
Love the picture of the ducklings, Elliott! Nothing cuter than seeing a Mommy duck with her babies in tow. ;-)
Can we try out sordid ?
Happy Mothers Day to all of the mothers here.
This is a good fit this morning.

Later, eCAHN. It is a gorgeous morning.
yes, let’s add that in.
Good morning, pups. Happy Mother’s Day.
There was a short blurb on DN Friday where a guy said instead of taking Mom to brunch, sit the family down and discuss what Julia Ward Howe’s original proclamation means. Good idea. Here ’tis.
my dear Baz has epilepsy i fear, but im treating him with
Phosphatidylserine
Great pic, Elliott. Saw a pair playing the courting game at the retention pond at the school across the street from work the other day. We’ll have little duckies soon.
I feel bad for all those heterosexual marriages. The power of the homosexual marriage is going to be too much for them to bear & survive! LOL Too funny. The Catholics here in Maine are gearing up for a fight. It’s so nice to know that it’s the overly religious once again who want to spew hate, divide, and demand equality ONLY for those they so choose! Idiots. They’re gonna get a fight alright. I plan to attend some rallies if they’re held. Signs I’m thinking of making:
“WELCOME PROP 8, NOW GO HOME!” (based on the Maine saying, “Welcome to Maine, now go home” LOL)
“HATE, DIVISION, AND UNEQUALITY IS A RELIGIOUS BIAS”
It was bad enough when the Republicans were in power and we had to suffer an under-representation of Democratic/liberal viewpoints, but now we get the same mix of guests even though the Republican party has melted down so small it could be drowned in the bathtub.
Hey, wait a minute!
I guess the TV networks are learning nothing from the newspaper extinction.
A reading or re-reading of Aristophanes’ Lysistrata is also recommended.
bingo
but wait again;
the democrats are now taking the same money the republicans took
not long before you won’t be able to tell them apart
we really need campaign finance reform and pronto
Thank you, it’s so very moving.
I put that right up over at Oxdown.
it’s pathetic
Sticking with the peace theme, for those whom war has been reality rather than abstract the memories Never. Go. Away.
Looking at it from the glass half full viewpoint, I suppose we can take pleasure in the fact that they are apparently becoming valued like diamonds, for their rarity.
Happy Mother’s Day.
Thank you. I went through a lot of vids looking for one with written vice spoken words. Had solai and others in mind.
I’ve got Fox News Sunday on, and the only thing diamond-like about Gingrich is how hard his head and heart are.
a despicable creature.
How ’bout “repulsive”?
“Off-putting?”
“Awful”
Whatever.
Good Morning and Thank you much, Ellie. Good day to all you other pups.
I’ll join you eCAHN, if I may. Telly stays off today. The lineup never seems to get any better, does it.
Cheney’s getting downright chatty in his dotage. Who knew?! I wonder who’s in charge of winding him up before these outings. Must be a fun gig.
I think he’s beginning to panic, or… whatever passes for such in the weird grayish mass that sloshes around in that oversize tilted dome on his neck. Methinks it’s not quite there, all of it. And you just KNOW he wouldn’t use a ghost-writer. Wouldn’t be prudent.
Ick is awful.
Love the ducks. Our grosbeaks and hummingbirds are back home safely. mr. c is not welcome in our home, nor those of our children, nor those of our
living targetsbeautiful wild things. Some of my ancestors, sad to say, undoubtedly indulged in shunning. I choose to act in a more refined manner. That doesn’t mean I have to accept mr c as a normal hooman bein’, or willingly share space with him in this universe.
“Corrupted thread of DNA?”
What could cause such an abomination? How does it live with itself?
I hope he gets cooties.
Gotta go feed the fish and stray tigers at work.
Be good to yourselves, and all other living things.
Namaste
Or follow news reports from Kenya where Lysistrata is being lived in the present day
Your stomach must be stronger than mine.
Namaste
Hi Good Fella! How are you this mornin’?
Morning Adie, Happy Mother’s Day.
Thanks for the bird report, I always enjoy them.
Mamma crow has been berating my poor kitties this morning.
oh man, for bulimics only. He is so full of himself, it oozes out of every pore.
It’s a gorgeous day here to quote someone very wise, I’m doing ok. And you?
Hi there! Momma crow is doing what she needs to. Berating kitties is part of her job description. She’s probably smarter than they too, but don’t tell kitties. They’re as smart as they need to be, and some of my very best friends in the universe…
We need to learn to live peaceably with both the crows and the kitties. sigh.
Our day is turning out better than the weatherman thot it would. The woods is gorgeous this time of year, and all my bee balm plants I split and replanted all over the yard edges are growing like gangbusters. I can’t wait for our hummers to discover what I’ve done with their yard. They’re going to be busy, and they’ll fight over the goodies as usual, like miniature fighter pilots.
Or as the song goes from Oklahoma, which is the show that’s up at the theater here, the farmer and cowman should be friends.
Oh I love Bee Balm. I never dug mine up and split them, maybe next year if I’m still living here. Have you ever tried one of the of spiky flowers? It’s no wonder the humming birds love them.
Absolutely. It couldn’t hurt. eh?! ;->
speaking of Oklahoma…
Here’s Ray Charles Oh What a Beautiful Morning.
.
If you haven’t seen Obama and Wanda from last night, Lisa has them up at LaFiga
Anything that get cowboys to dance is fine with me.
Ohh, thanks Elliot, Ray Charles is great.
lolol!
It must be really hard for cowboys to dance with those udders getting in the way. *g*
Udder then that, they do just fine.
I never tried growing bee balm before, until just the last 2-3 years. I can’t believe I waited so long. They’re tough as well as beautiful, and they must be sending out runners underground, because they’re spreading like crazy. I stuck some little hunks in out-of-the-way spots of the veg. garden last fall, and they grew so fast I had a whole lot more dividing to do this spring. Yet they don’t spread in a “weedy” way. It’s easy to control them. But I made sure to allow each of the new little hunks plenty of elbow room.
I saved gobs of seed last year also: milkweed, butterflyweed, queen anne’s lace, deptford pink, catnip, dame’s rocket, Jerusalem artichoke, etc etc etc.
And we’ll grab some rooted slips of spearmint before leaving for our new digs. Can’t live without my spearmint, and the kitties have to have their daily dose of fresh catnip.
I wonder if I’ll have the courage and fortitude to deal directly with the residents’ “horticulture committee” where we’re moving, or if I’ll just quietly play a bit of “Adie Appleseed” on the sly – not in the lawn area of course, ahem. But don’t you think it’d be pretty to see bee balm blooming amidst the edge plants near the pond? The tree swallows are already nesting there. Now THAT’s a pond! Not one of those golf course blue-tinted salamander-&-frog death traps. Nosireee!
I suppose the good news nobody watches those sunday morning shows anymore except the villagers. That’s why they keep bring back Cokie and the Thugs. It was a great act in its time, but getting stale.
Hadn’t thought about that. I wonder if it is going to be mainly women leaving their husbands for other women, or vice versa. Make an interesting PH.D. thesis in sociology.
Yes they send out runners, that’s why I never thought about dividing them, but as you say they are easily controlled.
After the Boston Tea Party they had no tea left and they used the leaves from bee balm as a subsitute. It’s known as Oswego Tea.
Good luck with that committee. I have one here for outside renovations since I live in a historic district.
udderly delightful mind pic! heh. except the sight of a gyrating dubya-puppet keeps intruderating. true healing will take just a tad longer, i guess….
i’ll keep working on that. it’s good to fix the bad, but not to dwell in constant helpless fury. i’ll keep trying… what a dreadful little creature… have a peaceful mothers day, bar, in spite of all…
i hear ya! ;->
Yes they are quite difficult to the people who keep up their property but to the landlords who don’t, they get a pass. It’s weird but so is this town.
When we bought this land, there was woods, and then nearly bare field in a 200′ X whatever rectangle between the woods and the road.
Early on, we brought in a lot of 9″ tall conifers babes of various sorts that are now heeeuge, 35 years later. We dragged a couple of sugar maple trees out of the woods and set them in the “yard”. They looked like lollypops, heh. Stunningly beautiful big trees now, plus lots of volunteers from seed, shagbark and pig-nut hickories, walnut, hazelnut, serviceberry, red-osier dogwood, staghorn sumac, elderberry, black raspberry, wild strawberry, crabapples, blueberry, paper birch, swamp white oak, redbud, native beech, tulip, & ash, etc. etc. etc.
Yes, we have lawn area and a smaller veg. garden now, but we don’t have to mow much, and we see fascinating butterflies, moths and birds joining us whenever we’re outside, which is most of the time. The house is nice too, but…
This year the local ranger dashed over to confirm our sighting of a Golden-winged Warbler, which spent a whole day in the yard singing and nibbling birch catkins.
I wouldn’t sell this place to mr. c even if he offered gazillions of $$$. he’s not welcome in my home, nor those of my friends.
Happy Mother’s Day, all you mothers…
now was that really necessary? *g*
Sounds delightful. I’m going to enjoy the day. Enjoy your day.
I know I’m late, but I had to mention those waddling creatures in that cool pic, and to proclaim an early bd wish to Ellie.
Go moms!
