The banks are replacing TARP money with non-guaranteed bonds, currently going for about 400 points over treasuries. Bill Gross, the bond king, thinks that’s a good deal. So I’d anticipate more & more of such deals to be done, and in the next financial debacle, the taxpayers will have to pay off those bonds.</p> So we now know where the next financial debacle will occur.
