Turncoat senator Arlen Specter has the blood of President John F. Kennedy’s blown-out brains splattered all over him.

He (Arlen Specter) kept trying to get me (Jean Hill) to change my story, particularly regarding the number of shots. He said I had been told how many shots there were and I figured he was talking about what the Secret Service told me right after the assassination. His inflection and attitude was that I knew what I was supposed to be saying, why wouldn’t I just say it. I asked him, ‘Look, do you want the truth or just what you want me to say?’ He said he wanted the truth, so I said, ‘The truth is that I heard between four and six shots.’

I told him, ‘I’m not going to lie for you.’ So he starts talking off the record. He told me about my life, my family, and even mentioned that my marriage was in trouble. I said, ‘What’s the point of interviewing me if you already know everything about me?’ He got angrier and finally told me, ‘Look, we can even make you look as crazy as Marguerite Oswald [Lee Oswald’s mother] and everybody knows how crazy she is. We could have you put in a mental institution if you don’t cooperate with us.’ I knew he was trying to intimidate me… (as told to researcher Jim Marrs)

Poor white man. They’ve had thousands of years to reek havoc on the world, and now with a black president in the American White House, well, they’re feeling so disparaged, left out, and feel their rights are being trampled on!

Patty B – ‘We should be defending white working class folks’ No man you should be defending all Americans, not just because the ‘white’ population of americans is on decline but because it is the right thing to do. This guy saying white people are losing jobs when the fire fighter position these people were applying for was almost 70% white. Come on the world is not gonna end tomorow if one black guy is hired.

Oh yeah just think of how many more black applicants there would be if so many of them were not arbitrarily lynched in the real Jim Crow Era. I have not heard of any white people nowadays being lynched.

Bogus R lie for today, as reported by FOX
Administration Proposes Significant Cuts to Benefits of Slain Officers

Seems this is based on a projection which is based on the fact that these deaths have been declining. families will get the same benefits but tehre is expected to be fewer in need of them as fewer cop deaths are expected. If this proves an incorrect projection and the fund runs out of money, DOJ says it will be further funded.

More lies. As reported by FOX.

Can someone please help me out on the stress test thing? Do I have this right:

Treasury: You failed the test. You have to raise $39 million, or else!

Bank: Or else what?

Treasury: Or else we give it to you.

Is that about right?

Your right man, from what i have heard also, this is a difficult case. If the test was fair and they just took the top 7 i have no problem. I just have a problem of people thinking that this one incident, no matter what happens, is the end of western civilization.

The stress test was just a phony dog and pony show to reveal how much more money in the short term we have to give to Wall Street so it doesn’t go belly up. See… we can’t survive if the banks we know and love go belly up. They are the lifeblood of the american economy.

Feeling robbed? That’s about right.

That’s hysterical. But it follows on the whole manufacturing of news. Who knew when we read 1984 and Brave New World that it wasn’t pure fiction but a blue print of the future which the present we live in.

Job losses in April were 539,000, less than the -610,000 expected. However, 66,000 jobs were added by the federal govt in anticipation of the 2010 census, and other govt jobs went up. So private sector jobs declined 611,000, just about as expected. Net downward revisions in prior months amounted to 66,000. The unemployment rate rose from 8.5% to 8.9%, which is the “stress” test number. Total job losses in the recession are close to 6 million.

Think Progress already has a video which demonstrates that the Republicans are up and running with Frank Luntz’s propaganda to derail meaningful healthcare reform.

http://thinkprogress.org/

The Republicans are out front on this and the media will give them every opportunity to promote their lies and misdirection. Where are the Democrats promoting universal healthcare? Deafeningly silent as usual.

So we now know where the next financial debacle will occur. The banks are replacing TARP money with non-guaranteed bonds, currently going for about 400 points over treasuries. Bill Gross, the bond king, thinks that’s a good deal. So I’d anticipate more & more of such deals to be done, and in the next financial debacle, the taxpayers will have to pay off those bonds.

Can we imagine, for instance, a country that is virtually without poor children? A nation in which every child grows up entitled to explore life’s possibilities, free to go anywhere in this diverse country and feel at home? Can we imagine an economic system that is not organized on the principle of command and control, on the few giving orders to the many? Can we envision an economy designed to serve the society, rather than the other way around?

This is another Dem opportunity to NOT serve the people that got them elected..their base. Trillions for war and banks and nothing for health care. We hear much talk about the demise of the Repub Party, but the Dems have a better record of self destruction.

Morning, Firedoggies!

Never been sick, right? OK, then this won’t interest you: Doctors arrested. Lobbyists welcomed by the Senate. Health-care reform? It’s up to some a-hole from Montana.

Not Hanna. The State. YES it’s a State! I think.

Wait. Where’s Alberta, then?
