hi, Suz
that song used to be one of my favorites. hadn’t heard it or thought about it in a long time. thanks.
hey neuro – how’s kansas tonight?
tis one that always brings back memories and makes me smile neuro
Hiya Suzanne and neuro,
Oh gosh, Martha is on Jimmy Fallon!
NE KS is about 75 degrees out, don’t know whether to have the windows open or shut them and run the AC
not too happy right now about our new Democratic-used to be Republican-governor who took office after Sebelius was approved as HHS Sec
he has proposed a “compromise” to approve a coal-fired power plant that the Ds had successfully resisted for about 3 years
still not sure how that used-to-be-a-Republican thing is going to work out
Oh man, flash backs!!
Thanks for the treat.
Hey neuro :)
.
I think I’ll go romance the moon for a spell . .. bbl
about ‘73 or ‘74?
Hi Chris!
Congratulations on the book, I saw bits about it before I knew it was your guy’s. nice.
hey christine e
neuro, i think 73
enjoy the dance ellie – hurry back so we can get a full report (laughing)
yay and fuck
Oh thanks! Mr.CE is thrilled with all the publicity — loved the NPR interview with John Warner last Saturday.
so nice to hear that all the hard work is being recognized.
Last time I saw Marshall Tucker was about 34 years ago in a very small New Jersey shore gym. They opened for …Bruce Springsteen.
Love that song- thanks, Suz!
hey emerson
Thanks Suzanne!
It is hard to look at this, but there is the whole world of medicine that does understand. And boy, oh, boy, I’ve seen collections that would make you…
Good evening Pups(:>>
Well continued good news on the Doctor front(:>)) No Cancer, They will have me get an ultrasound scan in three months, then in 3months after that another CT Scan on the Hi def one scanner and then ultrasound and do this for a year or so. After that if nothing changes I assume just getting yearly scans and nothing to worry about!!.
i thought about using fire on the mountain, but given the fire in santa barbara, decided it was in poor taste. i’ve never been able to decide which i like best between those two anyway
hey nahant – so does this mean ya can have a beer?
Man, that is GREAT news!
Wow, there’s a song that brings back memories. I just today found out that my spouse never gets songs stuck in his head. Never. I’ve never known anyone who doesn’t get songs stuck in their head. How can you live with a person for 22 years and not know something like that? Amazing.
Jeez, the kids and I use it as a way to mess with each other. ” I’ve got a song stuck in my head…”, ” No, no, don’t sing it!!!” And then you do. And it’s stuck in their head. Or they ambush you, and you’re stuck replaying this dumb song over and over.
hey openhope
Great song, just hits the spot. Thanks, Suz, and hi to everyone.
Excellent!!
Fucking A!!!!!!
That is very good news.
Technically no but…
hey margot
We think it is great news… Now back to a real life (poof)
Thanks all(:>))
Hi Suz, hi pups.
Great song Suz, that sure does bring back some 70’s memories!
at some point, ya need to open a cold one and toast a giant fuck you to cancer and enjoy it. i think one fuck you to cancer is exempt from the technicalities
Oh my sons used to do that to me…”Barbie Girl” by Aqua was one my older son used to play because he knew it would get stuck in my head.
hey ll
hey sunny
g’nite nahant
Already DONE!!
Hey Margot!
Forgive my lousy manners. Evening Suz, pups.
(((alias)))
(((katymine and elmore)))
Good nite Suz yeah took a lot of energy out of me going through this!! Nite Pups!!
sweet
Trying to remember here, through the haze of many years (and various substances), but I think I saw the Marshall Tucker Band at the old Capital Centre in MD way back in the day. I’m sure it was a great show…
Sweet dreams nahant.
Just joining in, but such great news nahant……enjoy!
*laughing* i’m still trying to remember where that marin county free concert was and who was there. i know it was ‘big names’ but… and i think it may have been mill valley… or was it in novato?
hey dwr1
Suz, lately I’ve been on a Grateful Dead kick. Did you ever see them in the SF area?
unfortunately no ll :(
unless, of course, they were at that marin concert (laughing) i can remember clear as a bell the name of the guy i went with (teddy applegate) but dayamed if i can remember any of the performers

LOL! ;-)
I never heard them live, never even bought one of their albums, but I sure did like that song
it would be a good one to have stuck in your head for a while…
Yes, great news for nahant! And wonderful to see you, too.
just driving by – here’s Jeff Healey with Angel Eyes.
i host late late nite on saturday nites emerson – i’m gonna have to rely on a detailed report from ya
hey mr why – that is some fine ear candy – thank you
I can’t get this song out of my head lately: Grateful Dead — Ripple
neuro – have ya heard this one before?
classic toonage ll
Deal-turns out friends are coming in from the East Coast & Alaska. Should be fun.
The fires in Santa Barbara are awful. I hear they brought in a herd of goats before the fires to chomp away at the brush on the hillsides and then had to extract the herd when the fire broke out. I like the idea of herds of goats on the hillsides…..all the time….and keep that underbrush under control so this never happens again. My crew is fine….for now. Smoke, but not horridly. No evacuation this time….though I’d love to have them come south to me!
yes I have, but I had forgotten about it
pups, that jane post went up in error – your comments will be there when it is published
Fer sure Suz, and I am thinking once again that I was born too late!
take 101 back to ca and we can hook up in tillamook for a cup on your way back
Oh, I know that it is late, and it is hard to hear about the fires in Santa Barbara — thank you for reporting. Please more.
still must be worried about them. all that smoke and fires are so forking unpredictable. your family is safe is a good thing. sending good thoughts that they stay safe.
DWR1, sending good thoughts. Hope all remains well for you and yours.
My daughter and her husband knew 3 couples who lost their homes to the TeaFire in fall; seems like the homes that have been lost in this Jesusita Fire are ranchettes and also BigHomes with BigViews. Hard to watch it on TV — hard to imagine watching ones home go up in flames (especially to go up in flames on the TV.) Anyone who has been to Santa Barbara knows how beautiful the views are…..and the people will rebuild. These fires seem to come every 40 years or so…….I’m up for having goats on the hillsides (rather charming, actually — except when the pumas go after them) year round to keep the brush down.
we’ve been through several california wildfires here on late late nite – had several pups evacuated and thankfully suffered no losses of property over the past couple years.
Wish I could, but we won’t have time on the way back (something about jobs and work) We’re camping in Bend Thursday night, getting to the Gorge Friday. drinking and singing Garcia songs Friday night, concert starts 3:30 Sat til about midnite, party, wake up sometime Sunday, and drive 12 hours back to SF.
Thinking about going to Siskiyou June or July. Feel free to stop by.
crap – well maybe if nahant has that bay area firepup meetup this summer…. i do have to get back down to monterey area to get my houseplants
a jane post accidently published ll – lln had a little hiccup but all is good now
Returning you to your regularly scheduled Suzanne.
sorry pups, a gremlin in the code at the same time as my cable modem decided it needed to be reset
Hi Chris!
LL, DWR, ((Katymine))
hey margot – geez, is mercury in retrograde or something. or did i piss off the nsa types again
AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND…
Citizen Suzanne and the Late Nite Fire Pup Freedom Fighters:
Hey there Citizen Suzanne, 9 more shifts and a wake-up! Keep the tunes hot and the conversation hotter and, no I don’t wanna think about the “last gasps” of the Iraqi insurgency that seems ta be sneekin’ up behind the Taliban in Afganistan…JEEEzus what a cluster fuck and now we’re tryin’ ta get Parkistan ta push the fuckers back into Afganistan so we can bomb em ouT of a few more villages…anyone who has investments in Iran is gunna make some money!! Fuck what a disaster!
KEEP THE FAITH AND PASS THE AMMUNITION, THIS WAR IS OURS, WE PAID FOR IT AND NOW WE HAFTA END IT!!
g’evening shorttimer norske – how ya doing tonight?
So, did we lose mmc ?
i dunno sunny, i hope not – were any clowns around while i was offline for a short bit?
i saw we lost ll – was nice seeing her on the lake again
Thanks, Norske, for so many inspiring posts. Imagine what you can do when you have TIME! Keep the fires burning.
kinda hate leaving her like that – scared on a clown shoe thread.
we left a breadcrumb trail and notes that we were upstairs
Well, i don’t know about Mercury but there was a meteor shower on the 5th, and a full moon is on the 8th.
And we got sunspots…on a cloudy day.
my stars margot – although, it could be the forkers at nsa still pissed off they were cut off from snacks.
Wow, Suz, the ‘blip’ certainly slowed the flow.
A clear trail indeed.
Cat clawing for attention, gotta go before blood flows.
nite all.
oh crap farrah fawcett is not doing well
g’nite sunny
yeah dwr1, sometimes all it takes is one little hiccup to slow the flow :(
It sounds like she is handling this with grace. We are all on the same track, dontcha know. None of us are getting out of this alive. Best we can do is treasure each moment and live/die with as much grace as we can. Farrah seems to be surrounded by love. Nice. Really.

i always liked her. thought she was cute and perky and ok – until i saw her in the burning bed. she blew me away with that performance.
*tossing hands up in the air*
well, there ya go – mercury is all about communication (from what i remember) thanks neuro
Well, Suzanne, you draw a crowd….and it’s a fun group. Got blipped tonight, but I’ll be back. Nite all.
thank you and g’nite dwr1
Oh man, that’s very sad. I see things on tabloid covers and don’t read them, so I didn’t know what was wrong until now.
So Suzanne, when it gets slow on the late late, doncha feel like shutting it down sometimes?
shutting down and going offline? i do that everynight when i say g’nite. guess it all depends on when the tireds hit.
yeah real sad. i had not heard that her cancer had relapsed. i am way behind on my pop culture.
so it’s whenever you want? You must like it cuz you stay pretty late some nites.
pretty much emerson. depends on how much sleep i got and if i have anything planned for the next day.
G’nite ladies. Sleep well.
g’nite emerson – be sure to take pictures of that concert so we can oooh and ahhh over them
Citizen Suzanne:
I for one will try and step in early a few nights a week jest ta hear the tunes ya got goin’ on…and maybe I’ll learn how ta use UTube and my Ipod (my kids have promised ta get me up ta speed as a Father’s day present…they got me the IPod for my birthday now they gotta get me up ta speed on how ta steal tunes…I’m gettin tired of Bob Marley). But in the meantime you keep on keepin on Suzanne…best stuff on the virtual late night scene next ta the BBC “world View” music stuff.
twill be good having ya around more norske – and as far as that ipod – i got my very first one this fall and even i could figure out how to get music from the itunes store. of course, they don’t let me steal and charge my credit card.
hey – et has a post up over at his place that says he is included in the new bloggers on the bus book:
well pups, time for me to mosey on off to bed. g’nite all and thanks for letting me spend some time with ya.
