Mornin’, BT, pups.

Hey CTut, what’s happenin’? Long time no see.

Palin is joining the Rethug rebranding effort? Man, I can’t wait to see the end product of this endeavour. Watching the Rethugs is funnier than a Chinese fire drill.

Maybe Palin will try to rebrand the GOP in another Katie Couric interview I would love to hear her explain how the GOP will rebrand.
The Snark will write itself.

That tape with the evangelical soldiers is chilling. These people need to be thrown in the brig for disobeying their orders not to proselytize. And the really scary part is that according to the Pew poll it’s these very same evangelicals who are more inclined to support torture.

Btw, this is some good news for the boyz over there…! I’m glad Maliki is standing firm on the timeline…

Still irate at Obama for doubling down in Afghanistan tho… WTF? Just ask the Ruskies or Brits how that worked out for ‘em…! 8-(

No matter how many ‘lipstick on a pig’ talking tours the R’s try, the GOP that everyone sees is a nasty, smelly stew of JoePlumber/Bachmann/Limbaugh looniness.
My brother & I were talking about those polls saying only 21% self identify as Republican. We made a bet as to what the polls would show by Memorial Day & then again on July 4th. I haven’t decided yet what to predict for Memorial Day. I don’t know if 19% is a realistic guess or my wishful thinking.

Attaturk’s post. I operated with the most decorated Navy Chaplain in the MRF. He was on the command boat, a monitor, when the OIC took a direct hit from a B-40. Damn near cut him in half but was still alive. Crouched down between 2 20mm turrets he stayed with him until the end. Charlie was really shootin’ us up. Really nice dude and never, ever pushed the religious stuff on anybody. One of the few you could really talk to. I’ve still got some 35mm slides with him and Ernie “Let’s Play Two” Banks on our visit from the USO folks.

As a Nam vet it’s hard not to look at Pakistan and see in my mind’s eye Cambodia. To get to this age and perceive beyond any doubt that we haven’t learned a god-damned thing is discouraging on so many levels.

fuckers are doing everything they can to keep single payer off the table. must not mention the reform that has the most public support – that would get in the way of another bankster bailout (this time for insurance companies).
