Early Morning Swim

  • Obama to get 1st SCOTUS nominee.
  • A possible clue on Mexican flu deaths.
  • I think the AP meant, "George HW Bush-nominated Souter..."
  • The latest Republican big tent update…
  • And circular firing squad.
  • Another GOP Senate seat vacated?
  • Adam and Eve — not Adam and Steve!
  • Obama’s Catholic problem exposed by Notre Dame.
  • Center-right nation update.
  • But…but…conservative media is booming because of Obama.
  • Obama, torture, and the rule of law.
  • Stay classy, Paul Broun.

Man, this guy’s a real winner. How’d you manage to let him get elected? *g*

Have you heard anything about the fugitive prof? The news said early on he had a ticket to the Netherlands for tomorrow but I’d imagine it would be hard to get on a plane with a canceled ticket, that’s assuming the law is smart enough to have done that. After this long with no sightings I’m thinkin’ they’re gonna find this guy in his vehicle in some out of the way area. Watch yer topknot when yer out walking the pups and decide to take that trail you’ve always wanted to explore.

I saw a pic of her at HuffPo and I’m thinkin’, Are those plastic? I didn’t think plastic boobs would get one very far in the pageant world. Silly me. That the pageant org paid for them? That’s a bit much. Plastic boobs and shit for brains. A combo any Rethug male would die for.

What if the swine flu is really anthrax since the extreme symptoms are high fever and problems breathing? Has anyone thought of this? Wouldn’t that be something if it is especially after Dick Cheney has been coming down hard on President Obama over the last 3 months and was the criminal VP whose buddy (Rummy) worked at the Pentagon when the anthrax attacks happened after 9/11. The anthrax’s source was Fort Detrick. Oh boy.

Again, just a thought, but FDL did report recently that this strain appears awfully close to Ohio’s flu outbreak of 2007, so this is the flu just morphing itself as it usually does.

so this is the flu just morphing itself as it usually does.

That’s the way I read the reports.

If this were real anthrax we’d be seeing a lot more fatalities. Plus, with the number of countries involved how would it have been spread that far and wide?

The folks who are taking ClearChannel private are: “Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital”. Bain Capital is the company Mitt Romney founded.

Are we seeing some more wingnut welfare going on in the rescue of ClearChannel? Also, taking it private puts it beyond the reach of a lot of scrutiny.

Don’t forget that (As I understand it) the Miss USA is part of the Miss Universe deal and is owned by Donald Trump.

Is the Miss California pageant part of that alliance? I’d forgotten Trump bought out the Miss Universe pageant. Dirty old man. Prolly requires Brazilian wax jobs as well.

I’ve seen worse on the Gulf beaches. Back in the day people “peeped the freaks.” Now it’s peep the yankee fish belly white tourists. Socks with sandals, the whole bit.

RE: Repulsive Broun. I do suppose that he has never heard “No Man is an Island”…..each one’s death is a loss to me, each one’s death is our own. Let him make rancid political hay on the death of a child…No need to say anything more; it all speaks for itself. The wonderful Res Ipsa Loquitur: You did yourself in.

Oh, ha. When my middle son visited France for a month with his friends family, they took him to the beach. When he returned, I asked if he got to see naked people and he was just horrified. Mom! There were really old naked ladies there. Just cracked me up. I guess he thought they were all going to look like Miss Whatshername.
