My April 1 edition of the NYT arrived today, and a lead front-page article contains the preposterous story that the crack Obama economic team is proposing to ask ordinary Americans to invest their personal savings in the government’s Public-Private Investment Partnership scheme. Are they nuts?

As mentioned yesterday, the Coleman portion of Operation Stonewall is so lame that even some conservative voices are calling Norm out on continuing it. One conservative voice that has consistently departed from the GOP herd in criticizing the Coleman legal team’s strategy, if not their goals, has been Powerline blogger Scott Johnson. In this piece for National Review (h/t Polinaut and Polanimal), he sorrowfully tells his fellow cons that not only didn’t Al Franken “steal” the election, but that Norm Coleman’s legal team lost it for Norm right from the get-go.

I watch Keith Olbermann, and his Countdown show on MSNBC, pretty much daily, but I have been pretty critical of him in the past; today i want to give him credit for taking on President Obama’s depressing willingness to adopt the same unconstitutional and un-American policies on civil liberties/warrantless surveillance.

I guess Moore is yet another Michigander who recognizes how a Chrysler bankruptcy will devastate the state and country.

What I want to discuss today is the nominations of Dawn Johnsen to head the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel and Harold Hongju Koh to serve as Legal Advisor to the State Department. As you all know, conservatives have come out swinging against these nominations. The nominees themselves are so well-qualified, so clearly within the progressive political mainstream, and the attacks against them so frenzied, one is left scratching one’s head and wondering: what on earth is going on here?

It’s staggering just how ignorant right wing bloggers are about how the business of media works, or business in general.
