DDay is off to Sacramento with signatures under his arm, trying to get the California Democratic Party to call for the impeachment of Torture Judge Jay Bybee who sits on the 9th Circuit Court of appeals. If you haven’t signed it, here it is, and if you’d like to help chip in for his expenses, he’s doing a fundraiser here (I donated — his work trying to get Bybee impeached is a great citizen-led grassroots effort).

The Resolution Committee meets at 3pm today, but it’s probably going to come down to what Bob Mulholland and co-chairs Inola Henry and John Hanna want to do. If the California Democratic Party powers that be don’t want it to come to the floor, it won’t, despite the fact that the Los Angeles CDP passed it unanimously. At least we’ll know who to blame.

Brian Leubitz of Calitics is on the Resolution Committee. You can follow all the action over at Calitics where DDay, Hekebolos (Dante Atkins) and others on the scene in Sacramento will be keeping us posted.  I’m told there could be some good chatter about primary challengers coming out of it.

Meanwhile, I guess we’ve graduated from DFHs:

With so many tech moguls putting their hats in California’s political ring, the Web will be a-flutter with Obama-inspired networking initiatives–and the push will set a dizzying new bar for what it means to run a networked campaign.

Republicans will try to curry favor with growing political clearinghouses like TechRepublican and RedCounty blog while Democrats try to leverage their grassroots–50 State Blog Network–and get the attention of the established liberal powerhouses like TPM, HuffPo, and Firedoglake.

I was kind of fond of "foul-mouthed fem bloggers" and "Jane Hamshers of the left" (with a nod to John Cole).
