If the voters elect a Senator with merely hlaf a brain.

Stated Senator will only have half a vote.

Apparently Imhofe is actually supporting the position of the fatwa of the Muslim clerics of Malaysia in banning the use of Allah as “God”. Imhofe, like the mullahs, have declared the use by Christians and Catholics from using the word, which they have used in liturgies, Scripture, and other writings and sermons for over 100 years!!!

Hamilton is actually taking the position of the Christians and many other Muslim communities in this case…while Imhofe is acting like an Ayatollah!

Yea, Ed grew up in Virginia. Played QB at Moorehead State (Minnesota). And was the long time sports guy at KTHI (now KVLY), then WDAY in Fargo when KTHI and WDAY switched the call letters and station affiliation from NBC to ABC and vice versa. And was the long time announcer for the ND State Bison football team

If he said it on the Senate floor, it’s protected speech, a distinction he would know about.

If he advocates it rather than uses such criteria to actually hire or approve someone to hold office, it’s probably still protected speech, though coming from a sitting US Senator, it’s advocacy to change the Constitution via pandering to nuttos. As a Senator, he doesn’t have to explain a “no” or “yes” vote on a nominee.
