Good morning & happy Easter Elliott. Thanks for the rundown.
Marion,
If you’re still around, I made your oatmeal lace cookies yesterday, and they are fabulous.
Morning all. Thanks for your work Elliot. Now know what not to watch. Going to watch This Week in the hope of seeing Krugman smack the shit out of his arrogancy George Will.
Yeah, only I would say “his moroncy George Will”, and don’t forget the Newster. I expect Krugman to kick the shit out of both of them.
Busy place here this AM
Survival of the Boston Globe not looking too good

Good morning, pups! I asked this a couple of days ago but it was EPU’d and I never had a response. This seems the perfect thread to ask it again. Does anyone know whether the people who appear on these shows (or KO or Rachel) are paid for their appearance?
I’m guessing they are paid, and some appear frequently enough that even at what “minimum wage” might be for these appearances, it must be lucrative for those who appear frequently, like Krugman.
I would ask Jane. I would imagine that the regulars get paid well.
“Newt Gingrich, Paul Krugman, Ruth Marcus, and George Will”???
Sheesh. I guess ABC has a 3-on-1 rule for liberals.
With Krugman in there the intellectual balance goes to the liberals.
Good Morning & Happy Easter: Im still looking for more coverage of yesterday’s protests. But I caught a minute of Matthews; a prediction there, not per CM, that Jindal will be running against Vitter for the Senate. Yes, he has seen that the next race is not his time.
Also, heard the Obama girls’ dog is a gift from Ted Kennedy. Nice. Have a great day. Keep telling the truth.
Happy Easter everybody. Pass the jelly beans.
Yeah, esaud, if you weighed brain power, I guess it is balanced.
I am eagerly waiting to see George Steffie show the video of Rick Warren endorsing CA Prop & then ask Warren why he pretended he did not to Larry King recently. If that really happened, I’d fall off the sofa in shock.
This Easter morning, I think of this quote by Dom Helder Camara:
“When I give food to the poor,
they call me a saint.
When I ask why the poor have no food,
they call me a communist.”
Good Morning.
I think I just heard Steffie say Warren will not appear on the show due to extreme exhaustion. Interesting.
Must be exhausting wielding that incredible brain. /s
Yup, and juggling his ever evolving statements.
!!
Too much Saturday Night?
The show doesn’t come here until 10:30 ET
Starts here at 8:00 MT
Ahh Morning MM,
Is this still the biggest hat day of the year?
I remember back to Easter Sundays with our fancy Sunday School dresses and petticoats, patent leather shoes, and the white straw hats crowned with flowers and blue ribbons.
Central time here. I’m watching it right now.
I will never be able to see George Will on tv again without laughing hysterically. Anyone have the current issue of Vanity Fair? The blown up heads accompanying James Woolcott’s piece “What’s wrong with Washington?” are all hilarious but the George Will ‘bobble head’ drawing is awesome.
Judging from Press The Meat’s line up liberals/progressives don’t work on Easter.
alrighty then – about those bobbleheads
wonder if Odierno will be discussing how withdrawal may be delayed due to
al-Quaeda terror
that’s right, war criminal and current theatre commander Ray Odierno is on record as still blathering about aQ.
I love KOs pictures of Rush and Billo
Yes it is, and there are some Easter bonnet parades and festivals. Kentucky Derby Day or any horse racing event hats play a big role also, but since Easter is worldwide, the numbers support today as the big one.
Extreme exhaustion? Well, I guess it would be exhausting counting all the money he dissembles out of his devoted flock. A criminal by any other name…
There’s this picture but I don’t see George Will. Rats.
You’d think a minister would have other things to do today besides morning talk shows.
Or many Sundays ever. Sure is all “right” on the talk shows these days
Ya think?
White straw hats. Yuppers. And gloves! And church. And Peeps.
E, too bad it doesn’t seem to be online. Check it out in the magazine at the news stand when you can although people nearby may look at you oddly when you burst out laughing.
How better to minister to the sheeple?
Speaking of Peeps. Here’s your Easter Peep Show…

Fox News Giving Slightly More Coverage To Teabaggers Than Million Man March
I remember a year, when I was about ten, when my dad bought orchid corsages for my mom, my sister and me for Easter. I mentioned that in the eulogy I gave for him, saying that with that small, sweet gesture he made me feel like a prom queen.
Mercy! How could I forget the white gloves?!
We were deprived tho, never got those little purses, guess Mom figured we’d just loose them.
I’ll have to look for it, I love to laugh.
Especially on Easter Sunday unless he thinks the tv viewing audience is his flock.
(((demi))) What a tender thing for him to do. Amazing, isn’t it, the lovely little gestures that take root in our hearts? Mmmmmmmmmm.
Amazing creativity considering the raw materials.
imo peeps are the worst candy ever, to eat that is — save for Circus Peanuts.
And what a wonderful memory, demi.
Hope you enjoy it as much I am. My first thought was that the image captures Will to a tee.
Don’t forget candy corn…
Happy Easter, Barbara Dear. Throwing jelly beans at you this morning. Catch one in your mouth, and you’re the winner.
(Except, you already are.)
Can’t remember whether I had a little purse. But I sure remember lots of photos over the years of the little girl with the matchstick legs dropping down from the coat that covered her Easter dress, because it was usually cold on Easter Sunday. Not so today! Heading for 60 degrees in MN.
These are so funny. Especially the Carol Channing eggstravaganza.
I agree that peeps are the worst. But, they are good for jokes. On the South Park Easter special, there was a scene where someone put a tray of peeps in the oven. They melted, exploded and gooed out the whole house.
But I actually like candy corn. LOL
Lucky you, I woke up to 29 degrees. Bummer. But the sun shines.
Noes! Not candy corn!
I am so happy to find other Peeps ugh-ers here. All these years, I’ve thought there was something wrong with me. What’s that you say? Well, that wasn’t very nice! :-)
Got ‘em.
You are amazing! How did you find that?
Mona Charen and Ruth Marcus,
What a pair.
