I’ll actually defend Cavuto here — or anyone sitting in front of the camera like that — to a point.

You can’t be an anchor and do all your own research and reporting. You’ve got to depend on someone to give you solid information, and if Cavuto was at CNN in 1995 he probably covered it. I never remember what I did and didn’t write about 4 years ago. I don’t expect him to remember what he covered at CNN and what he covered at Fox.

So someone in research fucked up. That said, it’s an absurd point — of course they’re giving an inordinate amount of coverage to the teabaggers. If they covered the Iraq war protests it was only to call them all objectively pro-terrorist.

Hey…the thread is on the second page, and Jane H. started it about their anti-bankster demonstration, with video. Guess it was resolved, and that the guy stopped censoring posts on his blog.

How was the battle resolved yesterday bet. the GOP dweeb who slammed Jane H. for not immediately responding to his assholic questioning? Last I saw, there were two more posts on the guy’s site that pretty much ripped him a new one.

Where? (Here at the Lake?) Linky? This ‘can’t spend many hours in front of my monitor because my vision fails’ guy would like to know… Just asking.

It’s nice to see some watchdogging for reporting. It sure is funny to hear the right talking about teabagging, but it’s also interesting in a way - I was just listening to an episode of The Joan Kenley Show (progressive Bay Area podcast) called The Media: What’s True, What’s Not that addressed how the right-wing corporate media will use catch phrases (like “socialism”) and single-line branding to manipulate the information we hear. I have to say that in the case of “teabagging” it’s definitely working against them. ;)
