I’m doing alot better than last we cross threads, Ma’am…! My Mom just put a full price bid on a house for the better half and I… (snoopy dance here!) 8-)
Call-out for assistance from those of you who write a lot of LsTE and maybe some input from one of the Lake lawyers:
Here’s a LTE that appeared in the largest paper in the region:
Many of us know that when taxes go up, businesses must become more conservative so that the business owners can maintain the same net income. I suggest to all business owners that have been inconvenienced by the recent Obama tax increases a reasonable solution. You are gonna have to fire some people to save expenses, and it only makes since [sic] to identify workers who voted for Obama…and fire those workers.
I *have* to respond to this but am simply too gobsmacked by the insanity to know where to begin. Don’ya just love that “businesses must become more conservative” bit? You bet’cha. :-(
I can confirm this reaction to the so-called “inconvenience” because the owner of the little quikstop down at the corner was pissing mad about having to take inventory of his stock on-hand and pay additional charges for all of it when the new cigarette tax went into effect recently….mad enough to potentially consider implementing the suggestion from that nutjob writer; the quikstop guy also went on a rant about the taxes being used for uninsured children’s health benefits.
I’ll be giving nahant a run for his money… It’s totally off-grid solar with a large mature garden…! It’s in the boonies and I’ll be on dial-up, but dem’s da breaks…! ;-)
I suggest that you mention in your letter that those who are considering firing Obama supporters should also consider their customers–who may well choose to take their business elsewhere when they discover business owners who do not respect democracy…..
That IS a good question, unless they were vocal about there preferences at election time. But still I am sure it is illegal to fire based on who you voted for!!
i did a quick google search and could not find anything specific to voting. lotsa stuff about voting for a union and getting fired but nothing about voting in the presidential election – nor any other political election.
“The law is pretty clear that a private employer can fire someone based on their political speech even when that political speech does not affect the terms and conditions of employment.” -Lida Rodriguez-Taseff, ACLU

I fired the entire corporate structure by never going to work for them. This is called pretzel logic. Of course, I don’t have a pot to piss in but I never had to take orders from an asshole like this guy.
Pretty well, thank you for asking.
I am still pretty busy but it gives me something to do with my hands and doing dishes gives me clean fingernails that I can’t seem to get from scrubbing after work or showering.
I have something on my mind. The wiretapping legal controversy.
In a dark world: Obama, as a legal scholar and Constitutional Law expert, recognizes the true power behind the Patriot Act, as his handlers have laid out…and does an end run around the United States Constitution to empower the Executive Branch. Which is actually “Global” corporate control of the world we know.
The Obama government recognizes the inherent abuse of power and forces a court decision on the unconstitutional abuse of power as outlined in the Patriot Act.
I don’t know…looking like a sh$t in one hand and wish in the other measuring formula to me.
On a happier note, have ya seen/heard the transcript/audio of the Republican caller (I’ll give him the honor of capitalization) to limpballs who just cut them off for him? It’s in a diary over at Kos and several of the other blogs by now. A thing of great beauty…….and I’ve gotta a sneaky feeling the caller’s gonna get some Dem love from either Keef or Rachel soon. *G*
Olbermann and Turley seemed not at all happy with Obama’s DoJ’s claim that he has an unlimited right to snoop on us so long as he doesn’t disclose what he found.
Last night at Dkos, someone claimed that I’ve been calling for Obama’s impeachment since before he was inaugurated. Close but no cigar.
turley is getting more and more upset as time passes with no investigation.
but who was it – schumer on rachael tonight when questioned about investigations, said it has to start with doj and if they don’t, then congressional investigation (iirc)
Sorry to disagree but snow is a reminder to my neighbors that opening their tightly wrapped Rose Bushes was a terrible idea and they should have listened to me and played Basketball with the kids instead ! *g*
… we got several inches but north of us got more than a foot …
Well, I have to get my butt to bed, something about showing up on time, sheese, then they want me to actually do stuff too!
I gotta talk to someone about that shit.
I cannot even imagine how to respond to that kind of BS, other than to help workers realize the inaccuracies. It just burns. The very premise that business owners should be able to keep the same income, but that workers should lose…
I guess it would never occur to those “conservative” business owners to get off their butts and hustle up some more business, or try a little innovation that would benefit the employees as well as the owner, and even create more jobs…
Sadly, and I know it’s only three months or so, but the only oversight appears to be concerning the people. A glaring oversight of us, so far, on all counts it seems . . . .
Of course it’s illegal to fire (or not hire) someone based on who they voted for. But in small towns or small businesses, it can’t really be enforced. Even in some large businesses it becomes most questionable. I wonder how many Obama voters are-or will be-serving in Walmart management. (Or even on the floor.)
right. besides, it is inherently the nature of the bureaucracy/executive branch (DOJ) to try to preserve and expand its power (no matter what party is in charge), that’s why we have a separation of powers and what oversight is all about…
I’d rather they focus on Health Care and the Environment before moving to redefining Executive Powers. I know that many friends on this blog think that should’ve been priority one, though.
Who was it that was on Moyer’s awhile ago that stated that the Executive would be very hesitant to remove any tools from their newly expanded toolbox…?
Sharks just pulled one out in OT shoot out 1-0 now how often do you see that??? Looks like they will win the Presidents Trophy & home ice advantage!!@ it is about time!!
I woke up this morning thinking about Blanche Lincoln’s decision that she would vote against the EFCA, and realized that she is nothing more than a tool for plantation owners…Walmart.
I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the Sharks, they have come close but!! Hoping home ice will work for them, they have never had home ice throughout the play offs. And the play offs are always great to watch it is when you see the very best hockey!!
somewhat similar to the news today that medical doctors were involved in our government’s torture programs, monitoring the torture to make sure they didn’t lose the “patient”…
My theory is that Obama won’t give up the wiretapping so that he can follow Cheney, Addington, Yoo, Bybee and all the creeps that will try to undermine him.
Couldn’t agree more with you!! Sure is the best time of the very long season.. Who ya picking for the cup??? Boston or San Jose?? Hoping Detroit goes out early, they seemed to fall apart at the end of the season.
Absolutlyfuckinglootly right EH! Our Vets deserve the very best we can give them they put their bodies on the line for all of us!! It has been a scandal what the Repukes did to the VA and the Vets. The old use em and loose em!! Bastards!!
Calgary is called The Land of Blue Eyed Sheiks … they made Billion$ with Bush/Cheney in power and will place Barrels of Gold at Dubya’s feet in gratitude.
After the Red Cross revelations and things like this, I will never voluntarily use a doctor or other medical personnel who has worked in this war; they are not to be trusted. That may sound a little irrational…..guess that comment comes in part from an ad in today’s paper about a physician being added to a practice with her military background noted and I remember thinking, “No way I’d go to that practice.”
What’s going to tick off a lot of Libruls is when Billions have to spent to increase the size of U.S. Forces and replace the injured, including those with PTSD who are still forced to serve.
But there has to be an increase in recruiting, to offset the disadvantage of Nuclear disarmament.
No just waiting for them to call me… I will have another CT scan and labs in May if I haven’t been called by then. Sure make you want to get as much done while waiting.. like my veggie garden… if only mother hadn’t rained on my plans today.. hard to work in the garden when it has been soaked… all that loose soil sure sucks up the water..
The hardest thing about the issue of PTSD for me is understanding the various degrees of impact. I became enraged at the ability of the recruiters to seduce our young high school students and decided to hold a rally in our local park. Amazingly, anyone with the grit to sign the permit can do this in almost any public park, by the way.I reached out to young people at Iraq Vets Against the War, young real life soldiers when our community had none. No one to talk to our young people the way only a real life soldier their age can. And they came, asking only for a modest stipend, if we could afford it..
I fell in love with the incredible young people we met because of that reaching out. OMG. The best and the brightest had their world ripped apart after the Iraq Shock and Awe. And they stand in such solidarity with their brothers and sisters in arms. We have failed them in so many ways, so needlessly, so heartlessly. We have failed their beautiful children and strong young spouses.
Damn it. I was going to be cheerful tonight. Sorry.
Well said openhope. Our new vets deserve the same GI bill the WWII, Korean and Vietnam Vets have at the very least. It is a crime that families have to go on food stamps and other public assistance when their spouses get deployed! What a way to keep up the morale of the Troops!
*whew* … thank goodness, don’t ever want to get the lQQk ! *g*
Here’s a quote to make you smile:
Later, Biden recalled a point he had made to George W. Bush about his administration’s foreign policy errors. “I remember President Bush saying to me one time in the Oval Office, and he was a great guy, enjoyed being with him. He said to me, he said, well, Joe, he said, I’m a leader. And I said, Mr. President, turn around and look behind you. No one’s following.”
In an unprecedented move, the Obama administration is readying for a possible confrontation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by briefing Democratic congressmen on the peace process and the positions of the new government in Israel regarding a two-state solution.
The Obama administration is expecting a clash with Netanyahu over his refusal to support the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel.
Yeah, I realize it’s a knee-jerk reaction…..fortunately don’t have need of the services of that particular medical group but anytime I have to see a new doctor in the future, it’s sure as spit gonna be one of the questions I ask about their background.
I haven’t been to a White castle since I left Boston, those dollar burgers were great although you had to eat several of them before you could tell you had been eating!!
as should the us. i saw the widow of sadat on tds tonight and she was saying that israel should return to its 1967 borders. wouldn’t that give the palestinians their own country? i was only paying attention with one ear since i’m also hosting tonight but what i heard made a lot of sense.
and forking go army computer games, financed on my dime, whose sole purpose is to entice enlistment to become cannon fodder for george bush’s war for oil.
The Israeli FM is an ultra conservative Reich Winger too alongside Bibi…! Altho, Livni was extremely hawkish too, I’d much rather have seen her as PM….
Mrs. Sadat was great and Jon interviewed her incredibly well. He showed tonight that he is as intelligent as he is witty.
Katie and the talking heads should take notes on how to conduct an interview.
The most popular idea is for Israel to go back to the borders prior to the 1967 War. Bibi wants to ignore that for more concessions. What he will do is ignite more conflict and Obama cannot let that happen.
This is where I reiterate that putting Hillary as SecState was his best move !
My dear young friend, Evan, staged a TowerGuard protest to stop stop- loss on the National Mall , cripes, can’t remember the date. He had the opportunity to yell at Albert Gonzales from his platform. I’d read about him on Truthout and when I called Whatcom Peace and Justice Center in WA. to ask for help finding a young vet, the wonderful young director said, ” I think Evan would like to speak at your event, I’l ask him.”
Through Evan we met Doug, also on Truthout for being a whistle blower about the conditions at Walter Reed. And Ash, who’s gone on incredible Peace Walks through Japan, finding equalibrium.
All affected by ptsd. Fuck bush.

Hey CT.
Hope all is well.
Hey yo to the rest of the late night gang too.
-G
Looks like most of the LLN crew is here…! Howdy Ya’ll and mahalo for the congrats…! 8-)
evening all.
Great to see you ct.
judas priest! that is wrong on so many levels… geez
Go satellite CT way faster than dialup, not as good as DSL but better than dialup ugh.
I suggest that you mention in your letter that those who are considering firing Obama supporters should also consider their customers–who may well choose to take their business elsewhere when they discover business owners who do not respect democracy…..
People that complain about that kind of crap will find anything to complain about. But their influence can be felt and must be countered.
i love this pink song – any bankers or aig’ers around?
I got a brand new attitude
And i’m gonna wear it tonight
I wanna get in trouble
I wanna start a fight
hey greg and sunny
Dugg it!
I was pricing some sat systems and they seemed pretty steep… I’m leaning more to Mobi PCS wireless which is about to cover the Big Isle…
isn’t it illegal to fire someone based on who they voted for?
i hear cell wireless can be as bad as dialup ct
*smooch*
Would you allow me to use that almost verbatim? I *luvs* it!
That would work way better than the dreaded dialup(:>((
First things first… How do they know who voted for whom…! ;-)
Guess that income is an entitlement.
hey neuro
I’d be honored for you to use any and/or all them words.
I’m pretty sure on that one myself but that’s why a lawyer’s input would be helpful….just wanna have the facts nailed down to a “T”.
the LTE waccamaw quoted said they had to ‘identify’ them first then fire them
hi Suz sorry I was a bit late getting here tonite
but of course nahant had the Digg covered
That IS a good question, unless they were vocal about there preferences at election time. But still I am sure it is illegal to fire based on who you voted for!!
I can’t find the answer to that. but I do think it is illegal.
Exactly… They must assume by looks or appearance… A slippery slope indeed….
Hi Neuro how goes it this evening???
i did a quick google search and could not find anything specific to voting. lotsa stuff about voting for a union and getting fired but nothing about voting in the presidential election – nor any other political election.
it’s going OK nahant, how are you?
I found this:
“The law is pretty clear that a private employer can fire someone based on their political speech even when that political speech does not affect the terms and conditions of employment.” -Lida Rodriguez-Taseff, ACLU
hey mary mac – that sure was a fine diary. can’t wait to read your next diary.
That was one of my immediate reactions…their employees and customers sure haven’t been able to retain the same net income….who the hell made employers immune?
Great!! Just waiting for THE call.
AMEN.
Thanks. Got any suggestions?
is voting political speech?
Whatever strikes your fancy.
keep doing what you are doing when writing.
oh, you meant topics? whatever you wanna write about mary
OMG! If that’s true, so much for freedom of speech. :-(
edit: guess one could argue that voting isn’t “speech”?
In essence a private employer can hire and fire anyone at will anyways…
Maybe. Funny since you vote in private.
but there are rules – otherwise, we would not be employed – we would be considered slaves.
Heh heh heh heh.
Good evening.
Nice tune Suzanne.
We’re not slaves…? ;-)
hey busted – thank you
I fired the entire corporate structure by never going to work for them. This is called pretzel logic. Of course, I don’t have a pot to piss in but I never had to take orders from an asshole like this guy.
Evening Busted how ya doing?
We’re not going to take it.
Hey Laura, hi everyone. Snowed enough to dust a sugar cookie here today.;)
hahahahaha i almost went with that one dood – does this make me an honorary ornery bastard?
hey margot – snow? snow? geez louise, i thought it was april showers – not april snow that brought may flowers
Pretty well, thank you for asking.
I am still pretty busy but it gives me something to do with my hands and doing dishes gives me clean fingernails that I can’t seem to get from scrubbing after work or showering.
Must be something to that Dawn stuff!
truth be told, it was the offical music video version
Hey, guy!! Everything okay? I’ve been worrying about you.
You are already on that list honey!
isn’t dawn what they use on birds caught in oil spills?
Thanks, Loo Hoo…! Things are looking up for the family! 8-)
hey openhope and loohoo
*cough* … closeted gays are ‘Publicans and overt gays are Libruls (less o’ course, you’re Mary Cheney)
Hey Buddy, great news and very welcome to my Ears !
Snow is a reminder to us procrastinators to get our butts in gear and get garden beds ready.
Good for you! I’ll be waiting for my mom to do that for a l o n g old time!
Evenin’ Lakers ! (Has that been used already ? *G*)
Good to hear that Busted. And oh yeah the cure for mechanics hands is to do the dishes.
It’s good shit Maynard.
Thank y’all for the LTE feedback!
On a happier note, have ya seen/heard the transcript/audio of the Republican caller (I’ll give him the honor of capitalization) to limpballs who just cut them off for him? hey petro – or should i have said eh
Heh, I can’t find my paper plate stash yet!
Stranger…!!! Long time no see…! 8-)
How’s the Great White North?
I roto-tilled my garden yesterday bought my plants and wouldn’t you know it it rained like hell today… so much for all that work..
turley is getting more and more upset as time passes with no investigation.
but who was it – schumer on rachael tonight when questioned about investigations, said it has to start with doj and if they don’t, then congressional investigation (iirc)
they make it for dishwashers now – i love the stuff

Must be a corollary of Murphy’s Law… Akin to waxing one’s car…! ;-)
Aloha, Busted!
I cannot even imagine how to respond to that kind of BS, other than to help workers realize the inaccuracies. It just burns. The very premise that business owners should be able to keep the same income, but that workers should lose…
Who’s buying this?
g’thud busted
LOL … “How’s it goin’, eh ?” will forever be linked to Canadians.
No camping! *G*
Bet yer gonna miss THAT fun . . . ;-)
Howdy and congrats, yet, AGAIN! *waves*
Howdy Suz, Busted . . . you metal heads kill me. ;-)
I grew up and still like the originals of the genre, like The Who. 13th Floor Elevator. Electric Prunes.
You know, real music . . . ROTFLMAO!
Tragic, no …errr… eh?
I believe I heard Schumer say that
Darn weather hasn’t heard of Global Warmin’ ! /s
Leafs & Sens are out of the Playoffs. Looking forward to the Crosby V Ovechkin rivalry though.
hey larue
pretty good excuse for Congress to sit on its hands…
yup, kissing it off to the bush broken doj (spitting) forkers don’t wanna do what their duty requires them to do – oversight!
I guess it would never occur to those “conservative” business owners to get off their butts and hustle up some more business, or try a little innovation that would benefit the employees as well as the owner, and even create more jobs…
I think the Oilers still have a chance for a playoff spot… Not sure since i’ve been unable to see one at all, all season… Only following the W’s/L’s…
Sadly, and I know it’s only three months or so, but the only oversight appears to be concerning the people. A glaring oversight of us, so far, on all counts it seems . . . .

Nobody on FDL started doing that till after Christmas.
Uh-oh… Look what the cat dragged in…! ;-)
Aloha, Dood!
right. besides, it is inherently the nature of the bureaucracy/executive branch (DOJ) to try to preserve and expand its power (no matter what party is in charge), that’s why we have a separation of powers and what oversight is all about…
hey mac
not that they care about duty – only about being reelected
Mrowr!!!!
Evening. Electric Prunes??????
I’d rather they focus on Health Care and the Environment before moving to redefining Executive Powers. I know that many friends on this blog think that should’ve been priority one, though.
Hey Buddy … if we wanted to actually work for a livin’, we would have stayed on
as Worker Bees ! /s
Who was it that was on Moyer’s awhile ago that stated that the Executive would be very hesitant to remove any tools from their newly expanded toolbox…?
People who vote for republics, apparently. :-(
Ya mean the Doctor Murphy??
i had too much to dream last nite
Pretty sure “Last Night” was more than a few last nights ago.
Sharks just pulled one out in OT shoot out 1-0 now how often do you see that??? Looks like they will win the Presidents Trophy & home ice advantage!!@ it is about time!!
Oilers are done. Luckily, Murkan teams have 90% Canadian players, or our unemployment lines would be longer ! *g*
hehehehe what’s that saying about the 60’s… if ya can remember it …
sad but true dood
Go Nahant!!!
yes, you can bet that they maintain “oversight” over how their campaign fundraising is doing…
Great team … right balance of youth, speed and experience.
It’s going to be a great playoffs !
sharks smarks – trailblazers made the playoffs
I didn’t see that, but have heard similar comments. It is sound political science…
exactly – the only thing that matters to them (besides raising money for their ‘campaign’)is making sure no one else gets their money
Jeebus, Kirk Murphy is going to have Kittens when he sees this – Army Psychologist said he is pressured NOT to diagnose PTSD – from Salon
Heh, Canada’s third leading export behind tar sands and wheat, eh…? ;-)
… and their trophy spouses/mistresses/misters
I woke up this morning thinking about Blanche Lincoln’s decision that she would vote against the EFCA, and realized that she is nothing more than a tool for plantation owners…Walmart.
Hmm . . . left out a coupla heavies earlier.
The Seeds, Amboy Dukes.
I Always Liked Roky Ericson
And with that, Sandman’s callin me home . . . best to all . . . zzzzzzzzz
… and ahead of Softwood Lumber …
I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the Sharks, they have come close but!! Hoping home ice will work for them, they have never had home ice throughout the play offs. And the play offs are always great to watch it is when you see the very best hockey!!
Thanks Loo Hoo!
*G*
I was bouncing from that to 13th Floor . . . thanks for catching my slack!!
*G*
zzzz
is that bastardball???
I read somewhere that Dems in Congress want Obama to keep Line Item Veto, to override the stuff that Repugs put into any Bill.
why does that not surprise me at all?
somewhat similar to the news today that medical doctors were involved in our government’s torture programs, monitoring the torture to make sure they didn’t lose the “patient”…
fuck
grrrrr
Why does that not surprise me… Hopefully the APA will have a field day…
The PTSD price tag from Bushco is gonna put Vietnam’s price tag to shame….
Absolutely … toughest championship in Pro Sports.
Pay back for earlier said comment trying to start a war between Newt & I….
My theory is that Obama won’t give up the wiretapping so that he can follow Cheney, Addington, Yoo, Bybee and all the creeps that will try to undermine him.
i like the way you think loohoo
innocent look didn’t work huh
guess next time i’m gonna have to bat my eyelashes
including those within his own administration?
Yep, some commenters were talking today about BO’s increasing the Defense budget.
One of the things he has to spend Billion$ on, is treatment for the wounded vets.
Couldn’t agree more with you!! Sure is the best time of the very long season.. Who ya picking for the cup??? Boston or San Jose?? Hoping Detroit goes out early, they seemed to fall apart at the end of the season.
I’m open to Obama ‘rendering’ em too…! ;-)
especially those in his own administration
Hoo Boy! We better watch out!
… and Hannity, Rush and Bachmann … who seem bent on inciting civic unrest.
Amen to that… I did like what Gates proposed… Shutting down the whole ‘Stars Wars’ boondoggle and the Raptors plus other useless systems…!
g’nite larue (assuming that zzz was snoring)
Obama could offer to provide Cheney with extra secret service protection, with orders to keep tabs on the old vulture…
but could he ever trust those agents not to turn to the dark side?
Absolutlyfuckinglootly right EH! Our Vets deserve the very best we can give them they put their bodies on the line for all of us!! It has been a scandal what the Repukes did to the VA and the Vets. The old use em and loose em!! Bastards!!
I like Devils and Penguins in the East. Sharks and Canucks in the West.
The matchup I’m looking forward to most is Penguins V Capitals.
perhaps if the congresscritters got their medical care from the va they would change their tune.
Heh… I was amused that Shrub gave his first post-presidency speech in Calgary… Which is basically, Houston North…!
Do you know anything more about when you get to head to Stanford?
Yep, funding has to increase for vets of Korea, Vietnam and both Gulf Wars.
This ongoing debacle is beyond the pale, for ordering unwell Soldiers back into action and I hold Betrayus in utter contempt.
Calgary is called The Land of Blue Eyed Sheiks … they made Billion$ with Bush/Cheney in power and will place Barrels of Gold at Dubya’s feet in gratitude.
I don’t know about anyone in his administration he’d want to wiretap. Do you? It’s the leftover Cheneybots he needs to worry about.
exactly! betcha he doesn’t go without treatment for whatever ails him.
Altho, it’s not VA run, most members of congress receive their medical care from military Doc.s out of Bethesda and Walter Reed…
Now that would be great… but I have no big complaints about the care I get from the VA and the people who work there have been great.
What’s going to tick off a lot of Libruls is when Billions have to spent to increase the size of U.S. Forces and replace the injured, including those with PTSD who are still forced to serve.
But there has to be an increase in recruiting, to offset the disadvantage of Nuclear disarmament.
Yes. This is dangerous territory. (Still, FISA would work for this.) Cheney, I’m not so sure. Obama may need extra powers.
bet we would see a whole lot more improvement if they had to go to va instead of walter reed or bethesda
I know how you feel. I’m sure they got shown a Legal Brief that commanded them to do exactly as they’re told … what a frikkin’ mess !
Hell ya. All they have to do is stand up for a long old time. Rumsfeld likes it!
I don’t think it does Chin-ee any good to see Oil fall from $140 to under $50 …
No just waiting for them to call me… I will have another CT scan and labs in May if I haven’t been called by then. Sure make you want to get as much done while waiting.. like my veggie garden… if only mother hadn’t rained on my plans today.. hard to work in the garden when it has been soaked… all that loose soil sure sucks up the water..
For sure Suz!
We should make Henny Penny stand for 6 hours while Brendan rails at him on full volume.

Quiz her. Maybe she’ll be a little more sensative…even if you don’t hire her.
Whew… Not the lQQk…! ;-)
Sorry.
Was that for me ? Sorry, I was just remembering our friend brendan, who saw Rummy at a Bus Stop and railed at him for 10 minutes.
Well, the very fact that you want to work in the garden says good things!
not directed at anyone in particular, just a reminder petro
openhope, you can still try for cheerful – or not. no requirement that one be cheerful here
My nephew is in Iraq – Stop Loss – the last time he went home, his family saw a big change in him but he had to go back.
Several family members are Vietnam Vets, so they know where he’s at and they’re not happy about his condition.
Did you get a chance to see him? Hugs for your nephew, and smooches if that would help.
Hitting it.
stop loss is involuntary servitude – and should be fucking illegal
Well said openhope. Our new vets deserve the same GI bill the WWII, Korean and Vietnam Vets have at the very least. It is a crime that families have to go on food stamps and other public assistance when their spouses get deployed! What a way to keep up the morale of the Troops!
the wall? if so, g’nite loohoo
The movie “Stop Loss” gives you an excellent taste of what it’s all about….!
Amen to that, Suz…!
No one’s following.”
there are Bush embeds, politicos who were transferred to civil service positions before the inauguration, where they remain today…
hahahaha that did put a smile on my face petro- thanks dood
No, I didn’t … they’re in Murkah and I couldn’t go to meet him.
G’nite Loo Hoo
nite loo hoo sleep well!!
The Brown Dude of ‘Harold & Kumar’ fame is joining Obama’s staff.
Nightly Benders followed by siren- blaring motorcades to White Castle is one way to stimulate the economy …
are there white castles in dc?
Obama team readying for clash with Netanyahu
Yeah, I realize it’s a knee-jerk reaction…..fortunately don’t have need of the services of that particular medical group but anytime I have to see a new doctor in the future, it’s sure as spit gonna be one of the questions I ask about their background.
I haven’t been to a White castle since I left Boston, those dollar burgers were great although you had to eat several of them before you could tell you had been eating!!
Nope ! *G*
This is the only possibility, Benny is turning away from a 2- state solution and the Europeans are rilly, rilly pissed at him.
That…..and it *REALLY* pisses me off to see my tax dollars being used for the “touchy feel good” military recruitment ads on TV!
as should the us. i saw the widow of sadat on tds tonight and she was saying that israel should return to its 1967 borders. wouldn’t that give the palestinians their own country? i was only paying attention with one ear since i’m also hosting tonight but what i heard made a lot of sense.
and forking go army computer games, financed on my dime, whose sole purpose is to entice enlistment to become cannon fodder for george bush’s war for oil.
IF not a two state solution then WTF does he want??? Assimilate the Palestinians into Israel or just plain old genocide??
The Israeli FM is an ultra conservative Reich Winger too alongside Bibi…! Altho, Livni was extremely hawkish too, I’d much rather have seen her as PM….
time for me to head off pups. thanks for letting me hang out with ya tonight. g’nite all.
Genocide, basically… I’m also extremely concerned with their overt threats to bomb Iran…
Nite night Suz(:>)) I am off to see the Wizard myself!! Have fun Pups, see ya next late late nite(:>))
Aloha, Suz! It was great to ’see’ ya after far too long a spell…! *g*
Aloha, nahant!
G’nite Suz !
Fuck bush.
to bomb Iran… to bomb bomb bomb Iran…
Wasn’t that the song McSame was singing???
Poof…
G’nite Sir ! Sharpen those Skates, eh !
I still have my Bauer Supremes!! they don’t fit any more but I just can’t give them up!!
Poof for realsies…
High level Cirrus clouds are keeping me indoors tonite… There’s still snow on the ground up here….!
I dunno, I’m a hopeless optimist, so I prefer having Obama deal directly with Bibi, instead of having Bibi as opposition leader in Israel.
A few rounds with Mitchell and the Clintons, with pressure from the Russians will make Bibi willing to negotiate, albeit with a lot of blustering.
Uh-oh… They’re sending us down the mtn now! I bid ya’ll a fond adieu! I’m headed back up here Thursday nite…! Aloha Oe…!!!
((( CT )))
G’nite all !
Night,Suzanne.
Sounds like a good idea.
