To not use reconciliation as a means of getting our legislation thru the senate is to say that cowtowing to the club is more important than doing the peoples work. If anyone thinks that the rethugs are going to do anything but vote no in lockstep they are in a fog.

Wrt the sanford article, I still read the dead-tree edition of the largest regional paper and if I never look at a by-line, it’s easy to identify a McClatchy writer…….imho, almost always more in-depth analysis than found in any other US paper, including the NYT.

That’s really cool. There have been rumours in my family for generations but that’s all they are, rumours.

Oh, ha. At the last Laity Day, the pastor had asked me to bring the message. One of the things I said was that Jesus was a radical.
