| By: Eureka Springs Wednesday March 4, 2009 10:00 pm |
Two new videos from Death Cab For Cutie and Angus and Julia Stone. Death Cab’s song Grapevine Fires, is based on a true story. With their signature subdued but driving rhythm and vocals, equally matched by excellent animation, you should not miss it. We recently posted an Angus and Julia Stone video called The Beast, here in Late Late Nite. What a pleasant surprise it is to see another excellent piece, Mango Song, show up so soon.

Addicted to the sound of his own voice, America’s Pilonidal Cyst doesn’t know when the hell to shut up.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh challenged President Barack Obama to a debate Wednesday in response to the White House’s reported strategy of turning him into the face of the Republican Party.

Competence Returns to FEMA |
| By: Phoenix Woman Wednesday March 4, 2009 3:45 pm |
In keeping with the general theme of rolling back the wasted years of bogus Republican ideology, President Obama’s FEMA pick, Craig Fugate, heralds a return to the days of James Lee Witt, when the Federal Emergency Management Agency was as good as it gets in terms of speed, efficiency and competence.

| By: emptywheel Wednesday March 4, 2009 3:10 pm |
I guess Karl Rove doesn’t look so tough now that he’s out of office. He and Harriet Miers will soon give a deposition to the House Judiciary Committee.
IL-05 and Geoghegan: The Day After |
| By: Jane Hamsher Wednesday March 4, 2009 2:24 pm |
I don’t think Chris Bowers owes anyone an apology for backing Tom Geoghegan, he’s a great guy and a true progressive who really inspired people. But I do appreciate him offering his thoughts on what his decision making process was, so I thought I would offer mine as well.
